and he blew

､ בַּשֹּׁפָ֗ר

､ וַ֠יֹּאמֶר

and said ､

at Jerusalem –

and supported them

and you [be]

לְהַזְעִ֣יק

to assemble [the men of]

but he delayed longer

the mighty men –

וַיֵּֽצְאוּ֙

and they went out

and took

the city ､

and it stood

by the rampart –

וְכָל־

and all

הָעָם֙

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

with

יוֹאָ֔ב

מַשְׁחִיתִ֖ם

. לְהַפִּ֥יל

to throw it down .

The wall ､

､ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

and He answered ､

אָ֑נִי

’ā·nî;

I [am]

וַתֹּ֣אמֶר

lōw,

to him

שְׁמַע֙

דִּבְרֵ֣י

diḇ·rê

. אֲמָתֶ֔ךָ

’ă·mā·ṯe·ḵā,

of your maidservant .

､ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And he answered ､

שֹׁמֵ֥עַ

šō·mê·a‘

. אָנֹֽכִי׃

’ā·nō·ḵî.

I .

､ וַתֹּ֖אמֶר

wat·tō·mer

So she spoke ､

､ לֵאמֹ֑ר

lê·mōr;

דַּבֵּ֨ר

dab·bêr

יְדַבְּר֤וּ

yə·ḏab·bə·rū

､ בָרִֽאשֹׁנָה֙

ḇā·ri·šō·nāh

in former [times] ､

､ לֵאמֹ֔ר

שָׁאֹ֧ל

יְשָׁאֲל֛וּ

yə·šā·’ă·lū

they shall seek [guidance]

– בְּאָבֵ֖ל

bə·’ā·ḇêl

at Abel –

וְכֵ֥ן

wə·ḵên

so

. הֵתַֽמּוּ׃

hê·ṯam·mū.

they would end [disputes] .

אָנֹכִ֕י

’ā·nō·ḵî

I [am]

שְׁלֻמֵ֖י

šə·lu·mê

[among the] peaceable

אֱמוּנֵ֣י

’ĕ·mū·nê

. יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

אַתָּ֣ה

’at·tāh

מְבַקֵּ֗שׁ

mə·ḇaq·qêš,

לְהָמִ֨ית

עִ֤יר

‘îr

וְאֵם֙

wə·’êm

and a mother

. בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

לָ֥מָּה

תְבַלַּ֖ע

would you swallow up

נַחֲלַ֥ת

the inheritance

؟ יְהוָֽה׃

in her wisdom .

And they cut off

And he blew

､ בַּשּׁוֹפָ֔ר

וַיָּפֻ֥צוּ

and they withdrew

､ הָעִ֖יר

the city ､

אִ֣ישׁ

. לְאֹהָלָ֑יו

and Adoram [was]

ham·mas;

of revenue –

וִיהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט

wî·hō·wō·šā·p̄āṭ

Jehoshaphat [was]

בֶּן־

ben-

אֲחִיל֖וּד

’ă·ḥî·lūḏ

– הַמַּזְכִּֽיר׃

ham·maz·kîr.

[ושיא]

ū·šê·yā

(וּשְׁוָ֖א)

ū·šə·wā

– סֹפֵ֑ר

sō·p̄êr;

וְצָד֥וֹק

wə·ṣā·ḏō·wq

וְאֶבְיָתָ֖ר

wə·’eḇ·yā·ṯār

– כֹּהֲנִֽים׃

וְגַ֗ם

עִירָא֙

הַיָּ֣אִרִ֔י
