וַיִּקְרָ֥א

הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ
ham·me·leḵ
the king
､ לַגִּבְעֹנִ֖ים
lag·giḇ·‘ō·nîm
the Gibeonites ､
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר
way·yō·mer
and spoke
אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם
’ă·lê·hem;
to them
וְהַגִּבְעֹנִ֞ים
wə·hag·giḇ·‘ō·nîm
and the Gibeonites
לֹ֣א
lō
not
מִבְּנֵ֧י
mib·bə·nê
of the sons
､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל
yiś·rā·’êl
of Israel ､
הֵ֗מָּה
hêm·māh,
כִּ֚י
kî
אִם־
’im-
but
מִיֶּ֣תֶר
mî·ye·ṯer
of the remnant
– הָאֱמֹרִ֔י
hā·’ĕ·mō·rî,
of the Amorites –
וּבְנֵ֤י
ū·ḇə·nê
and the sons
יִשְׂרָאֵל֙
yiś·rā·’êl
נִשְׁבְּע֣וּ
niš·bə·‘ū
לָהֶ֔ם
lā·hem,
to them
וַיְבַקֵּ֤שׁ
way·ḇaq·qêš
שָׁאוּל֙
šā·’ūl
לְהַכֹּתָ֔ם
lə·hak·kō·ṯām,
בְּקַנֹּאת֥וֹ
bə·qan·nō·ṯōw
לִבְנֵֽי־
liḇ·nê-
for the sons
יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל
yiś·rā·’êl
. וִיהוּדָֽה׃
wî·hū·ḏāh.
and Judah .
