וּבָעֵ֣ת
ū·ḇā·‘êṯ
And at time
הַהִיא֩
ha·hî
､ יַעֲמֹ֨ד
ya·‘ă·mōḏ
shall stand up ､
מִֽיכָאֵ֜ל
mî·ḵā·’êl
הַשַּׂ֣ר
haś·śar
the prince
הַגָּד֗וֹל
hag·gā·ḏō·wl,
הָעֹמֵד֮
hā·‘ō·mêḏ
עַל־
‘al-
בְּנֵ֣י
bə·nê
the sons
､ עַמֶּךָ֒
‘am·me·ḵā
of your people ､
וְהָיְתָה֙
wə·hā·yə·ṯāh
and there shall be
עֵ֣ת
‘êṯ
､ צָרָ֔ה
ṣā·rāh,
of trouble ､
אֲשֶׁ֤ר
’ă·šer
Such as
לֹֽא־
lō-
נִהְיְתָה֙
nih·yə·ṯāh
מִֽהְי֣וֹת
mih·yō·wṯ
גּ֔וֹי
gō·w,
עַ֖ד
‘aḏ
[Even] to
– הָעֵ֣ת
hā·‘êṯ
time –
הַהִ֑יא
ha·hî;
וּבָעֵ֤ת
ū·ḇā·‘êṯ
and at time
הַהִיא֙
ha·hî
､ יִמָּלֵ֣ט
yim·mā·lêṭ
עַמְּךָ֔
‘am·mə·ḵā,
כָּל־
kāl-
הַנִּמְצָ֖א
han·nim·ṣā
כָּת֥וּב
kā·ṯūḇ
. בַּסֵּֽפֶר׃
bas·sê·p̄er.
in the book .

וְרַבִּ֕ים
wə·rab·bîm
And many
מִיְּשֵׁנֵ֥י
mî·yə·šê·nê
אַדְמַת־
’aḏ·maṯ-
of the earth
עָפָ֖ר
‘ā·p̄ār
in the dust
､ יָקִ֑יצוּ
yā·qî·ṣū;
אֵ֚לֶּה
’êl·leh
､ לְחַיֵּ֣י
lə·ḥay·yê
to life ､
עוֹלָ֔ם
‘ō·w·lām,
וְאֵ֥לֶּה
wə·’êl·leh
and these
לַחֲרָפ֖וֹת
la·ḥă·rā·p̄ō·wṯ
לְדִרְא֥וֹן
lə·ḏir·’ō·wn
[and] contempt
. עוֹלָֽם׃
‘ō·w·lām.

וְהַ֨מַּשְׂכִּלִ֔ים
wə·ham·maś·ki·lîm,
יַזְהִ֖רוּ
yaz·hi·rū
כְּזֹ֣הַר
kə·zō·har
– הָרָקִ֑יעַ
hā·rā·qî·a‘;
of the firmament –
וּמַצְדִּיקֵי֙
ū·maṣ·dî·qê
הָֽרַבִּ֔ים
hā·rab·bîm,
כַּכּוֹכָבִ֖ים
kak·kō·w·ḵā·ḇîm
לְעוֹלָ֥ם
lə·‘ō·w·lām
. וָעֶֽד׃
wā·‘eḏ.
and ever .

､ וְאַתָּ֣ה
wə·’at·tāh
But you ､
､ דָֽנִיֵּ֗אל
ḏā·nî·yêl,
Daniel ､
סְתֹ֧ם
sə·ṯōm
shut up
､ הַדְּבָרִ֛ים
had·də·ḇā·rîm
the words ､
וַחֲתֹ֥ם
wa·ḥă·ṯōm
and seal
､ הַסֵּ֖פֶר
has·sê·p̄er
the book ､
עַד־
‘aḏ-
עֵ֣ת
‘êṯ
the time
– קֵ֑ץ
qêṣ;
of the end –
､ יְשֹׁטְט֥וּ
yə·šō·ṭə·ṭū
shall run to and fro ､
רַבִּ֖ים
rab·bîm
וְתִרְבֶּ֥ה
wə·ṯir·beh
. הַדָּֽעַת׃
had·dā·‘aṯ.

､ וְרָאִ֙יתִי֙
wə·rā·’î·ṯî
And looked ､
אֲנִ֣י
’ă·nî
I
דָנִיֵּ֔אל
ḏā·nî·yêl,
､ וְהִנֵּ֛ה
wə·hin·nêh
and there ､
､ שְׁנַ֥יִם
šə·na·yim
two ､
אֲחֵרִ֖ים
’ă·ḥê·rîm
עֹמְדִ֑ים
‘ō·mə·ḏîm;
אֶחָ֥ד
’e·ḥāḏ
הֵ֙נָּה֙
hên·nāh
on this
לִשְׂפַ֣ת
liś·p̄aṯ
､ הַיְאֹ֔ר
hay·’ōr,
of the river ､
וְאֶחָ֥ד
wə·’e·ḥāḏ
and one
הֵ֖נָּה
hên·nāh
on that
לִשְׂפַ֥ת
liś·p̄aṯ
. הַיְאֹֽר׃
hay·’ōr.
of the river .

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר
way·yō·mer,
And [one] said
לָאִישׁ֙
lā·’îš
to the man
לְב֣וּשׁ
lə·ḇūš
､ הַבַּדִּ֔ים
hab·bad·dîm,
in linen ､
אֲשֶׁ֥ר
’ă·šer
מִמַּ֖עַל
mim·ma·‘al
on
לְמֵימֵ֣י
lə·mê·mê
､ הַיְאֹ֑ר
hay·’ōr;
of the river ､
עַד־
‘aḏ-
מָתַ֖י
mā·ṯay
when shall [be]
קֵ֥ץ
qêṣ
؟ הַפְּלָאֽוֹת׃
hap·pə·lā·’ō·wṯ.

וָאֶשְׁמַ֞ע
wā·’eš·ma‘
and I heard
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
הָאִ֣ישׁ ׀
hā·’îš
the man
לְב֣וּשׁ
lə·ḇūš
､ הַבַּדִּ֗ים
hab·bad·dîm,
in linen ､
אֲשֶׁ֣ר
’ă·šer
מִמַּעַל֮
mim·ma·‘al
on
לְמֵימֵ֣י
lə·mê·mê
､ הַיְאֹר֒
hay·’ōr
of the river ､
וַיָּ֨רֶם
way·yā·rem
and when he held up
יְמִינ֤וֹ
yə·mî·nōw
וּשְׂמֹאלוֹ֙
ū·śə·mō·lōw
אֶל־
’el-
to
､ הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם
haš·šā·ma·yim,
heaven ､
וַיִּשָּׁבַ֖ע
way·yiš·šā·ḇa‘
and swore
בְּחֵ֣י
bə·ḥê
הָעוֹלָ֑ם
hā·‘ō·w·lām;
כִּי֩
kî
that [it shall be]
､ לְמוֹעֵ֨ד
lə·mō·w·‘êḏ
for a time ､
､ מֽוֹעֲדִ֜ים
mō·w·‘ă·ḏîm
times ､
– וָחֵ֗צִי
wā·ḥê·ṣî,
and half [a time] –
וּכְכַלּ֛וֹת
ū·ḵə·ḵal·lō·wṯ
נַפֵּ֥ץ
nap·pêṣ
יַד־
yaḏ-
the power
､ עַם־
‘am-
of the people ､
קֹ֖דֶשׁ
qō·ḏeš
תִּכְלֶ֥ינָה
tiḵ·le·nāh
כָל־
ḵāl
. אֵֽלֶּה׃
’êl·leh.

וַאֲנִ֥י
wa·’ă·nî
And Although I
､ שָׁמַ֖עְתִּי
šā·ma‘·tî
heard ､
– וְלֹ֣א
wə·lō
and not –
אָבִ֑ין
’ā·ḇîn;
וָאֹ֣מְרָ֔ה
wā·’ō·mə·rāh,
and I said
､ אֲדֹנִ֕י
’ă·ḏō·nî
My lord ､
מָ֥ה
māh
what [shall be]
אַחֲרִ֖ית
’a·ḥă·rîṯ
the end
. אֵֽלֶּה׃
’êl·leh.
of these [things] .

､ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר
way·yō·mer
And he said ､
､ לֵ֣ךְ
lêḵ
go [your way] ､
､ דָּנִיֵּ֑אל
dā·nî·yêl;
Daniel ､
כִּֽי־
kî-
סְתֻמִ֧ים
sə·ṯu·mîm
[are] closed up
וַחֲתֻמִ֛ים
wa·ḥă·ṯu·mîm
and sealed
הַדְּבָרִ֖ים
had·də·ḇā·rîm
the words
עַד־
‘aḏ-
עֵ֥ת
‘êṯ
the time
. קֵֽץ׃
qêṣ.
of the end .
10
､ יִ֠תְבָּֽרֲרוּ
yiṯ·bā·ră·rū
､ וְיִֽתְלַבְּנ֤וּ
wə·yiṯ·lab·bə·nū
and made white ､
– וְיִצָּֽרְפוּ֙
wə·yiṣ·ṣā·rə·p̄ū
and refined –
רַבִּ֔ים
rab·bîm,
– וְהִרְשִׁ֣יעוּ
wə·hir·šî·‘ū
but shall do wickedly –
רְשָׁעִ֔ים
rə·šā·‘îm,
the wicked
וְלֹ֥א
wə·lō
and none
– יָבִ֖ינוּ
yā·ḇî·nū
כָּל־
kāl-
רְשָׁעִ֑ים
rə·šā·‘îm;
of the wicked
וְהַמַּשְׂכִּלִ֖ים
wə·ham·maś·ki·lîm
but the wise
. יָבִֽינוּ׃
yā·ḇî·nū.
11
וּמֵעֵת֙
ū·mê·‘êṯ
And from the time
､ הוּסַ֣ר
hū·sar
[that] is taken away ､
הַתָּמִ֔יד
hat·tā·mîḏ,
､ וְלָתֵ֖ת
wə·lā·ṯêṯ
and is set up ､
שִׁקּ֣וּץ
šiq·qūṣ
שֹׁמֵ֑ם
šō·mêm;
. יָמִ֕ים
yā·mîm
אֶ֖לֶף
’e·lep̄
מָאתַ֥יִם
mā·ṯa·yim
. וְתִשְׁעִֽים׃
wə·ṯiš·‘îm.
and ninety .
12
אַשְׁרֵ֥י
’aš·rê
Blessed [is]
､ הַֽמְחַכֶּ֖ה
ham·ḥak·keh
he who waits ､
וְיַגִּ֑יעַ
wə·yag·gî·a‘;
and comes
. לְיָמִ֕ים
lə·yā·mîm
to the days .
אֶ֕לֶף
’e·lep̄
שְׁלֹ֥שׁ
šə·lōš
מֵא֖וֹת
mê·’ō·wṯ
שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים
šə·lō·šîm
. וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃
wa·ḥă·miš·šāh.
and five .
13
וְאַתָּ֖ה
wə·’at·tāh
But you
לֵ֣ךְ
lêḵ
go [your way]
לַקֵּ֑ץ
laq·qêṣ;
till the end
､ וְתָנ֛וּחַ
wə·ṯā·nū·aḥ
וְתַעֲמֹ֥ד
wə·ṯa·‘ă·mōḏ
and will arise
לְגֹרָלְךָ֖
lə·ḡō·rā·lə·ḵā
לְקֵ֥ץ
lə·qêṣ
at the end
. הַיָּמִֽין׃
hay·yā·mîn.
of the days .
