וַיְהִ֞י
way·hî
and it came to pass
בִּשְׁתֵּ֧י
biš·tê
in two
עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה
‘eś·rêh
[and] ten
שָׁנָ֗ה
šā·nāh,
the year
בָּעֲשִׂרִ֛י
bā·‘ă·śi·rî
in the tenth [month]
בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֥ה
ba·ḥă·miš·šāh
on [day] five
､ לַחֹ֖דֶשׁ
la·ḥō·ḏeš
of the month ､
､ לְגָלוּתֵ֑נוּ
lə·ḡā·lū·ṯê·nū;
of our captivity ､
בָּא־
bā-
אֵלַ֨י
’ê·lay
to me
הַפָּלִ֧יט
hap·pā·lîṭ
מִירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם
mî·rū·šā·lim
､ לֵאמֹ֖ר
lê·mōr
and said ､
הֻכְּתָ֥ה
huk·kə·ṯāh
. הָעִֽיר׃
hā·‘îr.
the city .
