הָיְתָ֣ה

עָלַי֮

‘ā·lay

יַד־

yaḏ-

the hand

יְהוָה֒

Yah·weh

וַיּוֹצִאֵ֤נִי

way·yō·w·ṣi·’ê·nî

and brought me out

בְר֙וּחַ֙

ḇə·rū·aḥ

in the Spirit

､ יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

of Yahweh ､

וַיְנִיחֵ֖נִי

way·nî·ḥê·nî

and set me down

בְּת֣וֹךְ

bə·ṯō·wḵ

in the midst

הַבִּקְעָ֑ה

hab·biq·‘āh;

of the valley

וְהִ֖יא

wə·hî

and it [was]

מְלֵאָ֥ה

mə·lê·’āh

､ עֲצָמֽוֹת׃

‘ă·ṣā·mō·wṯ.

of bones ､

וְהֶעֱבִירַ֥נִי

wə·he·‘ĕ·ḇî·ra·nî

and He caused me to pass

עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם

‘ă·lê·hem

סָבִ֣יב ׀

sā·ḇîḇ

､ סָבִ֑יב

sā·ḇîḇ;

､ וְהִנֵּ֨ה

wə·hin·nêh

and behold ､

רַבּ֤וֹת

rab·bō·wṯ

[there] [were] many

מְאֹד֙

mə·’ōḏ

עַל־

‘al-

in

פְּנֵ֣י

pə·nê

– הַבִּקְעָ֔ה

hab·biq·‘āh,

the valley –

､ וְהִנֵּ֖ה

wə·hin·nêh

and indeed ､

יְבֵשׁ֥וֹת

yə·ḇê·šō·wṯ

[they] [were] dry

. מְאֹֽד׃

mə·’ōḏ.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And He said

אֵלַ֔י

’ê·lay,

to me

בֶּן־

ben-

､ אָדָ֕ם

’ā·ḏām

of man ､

؟ הֲתִחְיֶ֖ינָה

hă·ṯiḥ·ye·nāh

הָעֲצָמ֣וֹת

hā·‘ă·ṣā·mō·wṯ

הָאֵ֑לֶּה

hā·’êl·leh;

､ וָאֹמַ֕ר

wā·’ō·mar

so I answered ､

אֲדֹנָ֥י

’ă·ḏō·nāy

､ יְהוִ֖ה

Yah·weh

GOD ､

אַתָּ֥ה

’at·tāh

. יָדָֽעְתָּ׃

yā·ḏā·‘ə·tā.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And Again He said

אֵלַ֔י

’ê·lay,

to me

הִנָּבֵ֖א

hin·nā·ḇê

עַל־

‘al-

to

､ הָעֲצָמ֣וֹת

hā·‘ă·ṣā·mō·wṯ

הָאֵ֑לֶּה

hā·’êl·leh;

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

wə·’ā·mar·tā

and say

אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם

’ă·lê·hem,

､ הָעֲצָמוֹת֙

hā·‘ă·ṣā·mō·wṯ

הַיְבֵשׁ֔וֹת

hay·ḇê·šō·wṯ,

שִׁמְע֖וּ

šim·‘ū

דְּבַר־

the word

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

כֹּ֤ה

אָמַר֙

’ā·mar

אֲדֹנָ֣י

the Lord

יְהוִ֔ה

Yah·weh,

– לָעֲצָמ֖וֹת

lā·‘ă·ṣā·mō·wṯ

to bones –

הָאֵ֑לֶּה

hā·’êl·leh;

､ הִנֵּ֨ה

hin·nêh

אֲנִ֜י

’ă·nî

I

מֵבִ֥יא

mê·ḇî

will cause to enter

בָכֶ֛ם

ḇā·ḵem

ר֖וּחַ

rū·aḥ

– וִחְיִיתֶֽם׃

wiḥ·yî·ṯem.

and you shall live –

וְנָתַתִּי֩

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

and I will put

עֲלֵיכֶ֨ם

‘ă·lê·ḵem

on you

גִּדִ֜ים

gi·ḏîm

וְֽהַעֲלֵתִ֧י

wə·ha·‘ă·lê·ṯî

עֲלֵיכֶ֣ם

‘ă·lê·ḵem

בָּשָׂ֗ר

bā·śār,

וְקָרַמְתִּ֤י

wə·qā·ram·tî

עֲלֵיכֶם֙

‘ă·lê·ḵem

､ ע֔וֹר

‘ō·wr,

with skin ､

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

and put

בָכֶ֛ם

ḇā·ḵem

in you

ר֖וּחַ

rū·aḥ

– וִחְיִיתֶ֑ם

wiḥ·yî·ṯem;

and you shall live –

וִידַעְתֶּ֖ם

wî·ḏa‘·tem

then you shall know

כִּֽי־

kî-

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I [am]

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וְנִבֵּ֖אתִי

wə·nib·bê·ṯî

So I prophesied

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר

ka·’ă·šer

as

– צֻוֵּ֑יתִי

ṣuw·wê·ṯî;

I was commanded –

וַֽיְהִי־

way·hî-

､ ק֤וֹל

qō·wl

a noise ､

､ כְּהִנָּֽבְאִי֙

kə·hin·nā·ḇə·’î

as I prophesied ､

וְהִנֵּה־

wə·hin·nêh-

､ רַ֔עַשׁ

ra·‘aš,

､ וַתִּקְרְב֣וּ

wat·tiq·rə·ḇū

and came together ､

עֲצָמ֔וֹת

‘ă·ṣā·mō·wṯ,

עֶ֖צֶם

‘e·ṣem

אֶל־

’el-

to

. עַצְמֽוֹ׃

‘aṣ·mōw.

､ וְרָאִ֜יתִי

wə·rā·’î·ṯî

And as I looked ､

､ וְהִנֵּֽה־

wə·hin·nêh-

and indeed ､

עֲלֵיהֶ֤ם

‘ă·lê·hem

גִּדִים֙

gi·ḏîm

וּבָשָׂ֣ר

ū·ḇā·śār

and the flesh

עָלָ֔ה

‘ā·lāh,

וַיִּקְרַ֧ם

way·yiq·ram

עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם

‘ă·lê·hem

ע֖וֹר

‘ō·wr

the skin

– מִלְמָ֑עְלָה

mil·mā·‘ə·lāh;

וְר֖וּחַ

wə·rū·aḥ

אֵ֥ין

’ên

[there] [was] no

. בָּהֶֽם׃

bā·hem.

in them .

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And He said

אֵלַ֔י

’ê·lay,

to me

הִנָּבֵ֖א

hin·nā·ḇê

אֶל־

’el-

to

､ הָר֑וּחַ

hā·rū·aḥ;

the breath ､

､ הִנָּבֵ֣א

hin·nā·ḇê

בֶן־

ḇen-

､ אָ֠דָם

’ā·ḏām

of man ､

וְאָמַרְתָּ֨

wə·’ā·mar·tā

and say

אֶל־

’el-

to

､ הָר֜וּחַ

hā·rū·aḥ

the breath ､

כֹּֽה־

kōh-

אָמַ֣ר ׀

’ā·mar

אֲדֹנָ֣י

’ă·ḏō·nāy

the Lord

יְהוִ֗ה

מֵאַרְבַּ֤ע

､ רוּחוֹת֙

rū·ḥō·wṯ

the winds ､

בֹּ֣אִי

bō·’î

､ הָר֔וּחַ

hā·rū·aḥ,

וּפְחִ֛י

ū·p̄ə·ḥî

､ בַּהֲרוּגִ֥ים

ba·hă·rū·ḡîm

on slain ､

הָאֵ֖לֶּה

hā·’êl·leh

. וְיִֽחְיֽוּ׃

wə·yiḥ·yū.

that they may live .

וְהִנַּבֵּ֖אתִי

wə·hin·nab·bê·ṯî

So I prophesied

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר

ka·’ă·šer

as

צִוָּ֑נִי

ṣiw·wā·nî;

He commanded me

וַתָּבוֹא֩

wat·tā·ḇō·w

and came

בָהֶ֨ם

ḇā·hem

הָר֜וּחַ

hā·rū·aḥ

､ וַיִּֽחְי֗וּ

way·yiḥ·yū,

and they lived ､

וַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙

way·ya·‘am·ḏū

עַל־

‘al-

､ רַגְלֵיהֶ֔ם

raḡ·lê·hem,

. חַ֖יִל

ḥa·yil

an army .

גָּד֥וֹל

gā·ḏō·wl

מְאֹד־

mə·’ōḏ-

. מְאֹֽד׃

mə·’ōḏ.

of man ､

הָעֲצָמ֣וֹת

hā·‘ă·ṣā·mō·wṯ

הָאֵ֔לֶּה

hā·’êl·leh,

כָּל־

kāl-

בֵּ֥ית

bêṯ

– יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

yiś·rā·’êl

of Israel –

הֵ֑מָּה

hêm·māh;

､ הִנֵּ֣ה

hin·nêh

､ אֹמְרִ֗ים

’ō·mə·rîm,

､ יָבְשׁ֧וּ

yā·ḇə·šū

עַצְמוֹתֵ֛ינוּ

‘aṣ·mō·w·ṯê·nū

. וְאָבְדָ֥ה

wə·’ā·ḇə·ḏāh

and is lost .

תִקְוָתֵ֖נוּ

ṯiq·wā·ṯê·nū

נִגְזַ֥רְנוּ

niḡ·zar·nū

. לָֽנוּ׃

לָכֵן֩

lā·ḵên

הִנָּבֵ֨א

hin·nā·ḇê

וְאָמַרְתָּ֜

and say

אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם

כֹּֽה־

אָמַר֮

אֲדֹנָ֣י

the Lord

– יְהוִה֒

GOD –

､ הִנֵּה֩

I

פֹתֵ֜חַ

will open

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ קִבְרֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם

qiḇ·rō·w·ṯê·ḵem,

your graves ､

וְהַעֲלֵיתִ֥י

wə·ha·‘ă·lê·ṯî

and cause to come up

אֶתְכֶ֛ם

’eṯ·ḵem

､ מִקִּבְרוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

miq·qiḇ·rō·w·ṯê·ḵem

from your graves ､

､ עַמִּ֑י

‘am·mî;

My people ､

וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י

wə·hê·ḇê·ṯî

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

’eṯ·ḵem

אֶל־

’el-

אַדְמַ֥ת

’aḏ·maṯ

the land

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Then you shall know

I [am]

when I have opened

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ קִבְרֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם

qiḇ·rō·w·ṯê·ḵem,

your graves ､

וּבְהַעֲלוֹתִ֥י

ū·ḇə·ha·‘ă·lō·w·ṯî

and brought up

אֶתְכֶ֛ם

’eṯ·ḵem

､ מִקִּבְרוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

miq·qiḇ·rō·w·ṯê·ḵem

from your graves ､

､ עַמִּֽי׃

‘am·mî.

My people ､

וְנָתַתִּ֨י

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

and I will put

רוּחִ֤י

rū·ḥî

בָכֶם֙

ḇā·ḵem

in you

､ וִחְיִיתֶ֔ם

wiḥ·yî·ṯem,

and you shall live ､

וְהִנַּחְתִּ֥י

and I will place

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

עַל־

‘al-

in

. אַדְמַתְכֶ֑ם

’aḏ·maṯ·ḵem;

your own land .

וִידַעְתֶּ֞ם

wî·ḏa‘·tem

Then you shall know

כִּי־

kî-

אֲנִ֧י

I

יְהוָ֛ה

דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי

dib·bar·tî

have spoken [it]

וְעָשִׂ֖יתִי

wə·‘ā·śî·ṯî

and performed [it]

נְאֻם־

אֶחָ֔ד

on it

､ לִֽיהוּדָ֔ה

and for the sons

and take

on it

､ לְיוֹסֵף֙

､ אֶפְרַ֔יִם

of Ephraim ､

וְכָל־

and [for] all

בֵּ֥ית

יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

which [is]

בְּיַד־

in the hand

､ אֶפְרַ֔יִם

’ep̄·ra·yim,

of Ephraim ､

וְשִׁבְטֵ֥י

wə·šiḇ·ṭê

and the tribes

יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

yiś·rā·’êl

[חברו]

ḥeḇ·rōw

-

､ (חֲבֵרָ֑יו)

ḥă·ḇê·rāw;

his companions ､

וְנָתַתִּי֩

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

and I will join

אוֹתָ֨ם

’ō·w·ṯām

עָלָ֜יו

‘ā·lāw

with it

אֶת־

’eṯ-

with

עֵ֣ץ

‘êṣ

､ יְהוּדָ֗ה

yə·hū·ḏāh,

of Judah ､

וַֽעֲשִׂיתִם֙

wa·‘ă·śî·ṯim

､ לְעֵ֣ץ

lə·‘êṣ

אֶחָ֔ד

’e·ḥāḏ,

וְהָי֥וּ

wə·hā·yū

and they will be

אֶחָ֖ד

’e·ḥāḏ

. בְּיָדִֽי׃

bə·yā·ḏî.

in My hand .

וְהָי֨וּ

wə·hā·yū

And will be

הָעֵצִ֜ים

hā·‘ê·ṣîm

אֲ‍ֽשֶׁר־

’ăšer-

תִּכְתֹּ֧ב

tiḵ·tōḇ

עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם

‘ă·lê·hem

בְּיָדְךָ֖

bə·yā·ḏə·ḵā

. לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃

lə·‘ê·nê·hem.

before their eyes .

וְדַבֵּ֣ר

wə·ḏab·bêr

And to say

אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם

’ă·lê·hem,

כֹּֽה־

kōh-

אָמַר֮

’ā·mar

אֲדֹנָ֣י

’ă·ḏō·nāy

the Lord

– יְהוִה֒

Yah·weh

GOD –

､ הִנֵּ֨ה

hin·nêh

אֲנִ֤י

’ă·nî

I

לֹקֵ֙חַ֙

lō·qê·aḥ

will take

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

בְּנֵ֣י

bə·nê

the sons

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

yiś·rā·’êl,

מִבֵּ֥ין

mib·bên

､ הַגּוֹיִ֖ם

hag·gō·w·yim

the nations ､

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

､ הָֽלְכוּ־

hā·lə·ḵū-

they have gone ､

שָׁ֑ם

šām;

וְקִבַּצְתִּ֤י

wə·qib·baṣ·tî

and will gather

אֹתָם֙

’ō·ṯām

､ מִסָּבִ֔יב

mis·sā·ḇîḇ,

from every side ､

וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י

wə·hê·ḇê·ṯî

אוֹתָ֖ם

’ō·w·ṯām

אֶל־

’el-

– אַדְמָתָֽם׃

’aḏ·mā·ṯām.

their own land –

וְעָשִׂ֣יתִי

wə·‘ā·śî·ṯî

and I will make

אֹ֠תָם

’ō·ṯām

לְג֨וֹי

lə·ḡō·w

אֶחָ֤ד

’e·ḥāḏ

בָּאָ֙רֶץ֙

bā·’ā·reṣ

in the land

בְּהָרֵ֣י

bə·hā·rê

on the mountains

– יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

yiś·rā·’êl,

of Israel –

וּמֶ֧לֶךְ

ū·me·leḵ

and king

אֶחָ֛ד

’e·ḥāḏ

יִֽהְיֶ֥ה

yih·yeh

– לְכֻלָּ֖ם

lə·ḵul·lām

over them all –

לְמֶ֑לֶךְ

lə·me·leḵ;

וְלֹ֤א

wə·lō

and no

[יהיה־]

yih·yeh-

-

(יִֽהְיוּ־)

yih·yū-

עוֹד֙

‘ō·wḏ

לִשְׁנֵ֣י

liš·nê

､ גוֹיִ֔ם

ḡō·w·yim,

וְלֹ֨א

wə·lō

and nor

יֵחָ֥צוּ

yê·ḥā·ṣū

shall they be divided

ע֛וֹד

‘ō·wḏ

לִשְׁתֵּ֥י

liš·tê

מַמְלָכ֖וֹת

mam·lā·ḵō·wṯ

– עֽוֹד׃

‘ō·wḏ.

וְלֹ֧א

wə·lō

and not

יִֽטַמְּא֣וּ

yi·ṭam·mə·’ū

they shall defile themselves

ע֗וֹד

‘ō·wḏ,

､ בְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם֙

bə·ḡil·lū·lê·hem

with their idols ､

､ וּבְשִׁקּ֣וּצֵיהֶ֔ם

ū·ḇə·šiq·qū·ṣê·hem,

and nor with their detestable things ､

וּבְכֹ֖ל

ū·ḇə·ḵōl

and nor with any

– פִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֑ם

piš·‘ê·hem;

of their transgressions –

וְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֣י

wə·hō·wō·ša‘·tî

but I will deliver

אֹתָ֗ם

’ō·ṯām,

מִכֹּ֤ל

mik·kōl

､ מוֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיהֶם֙

mō·wō·šə·ḇō·ṯê·hem

their dwelling places ､

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

､ חָטְא֣וּ

ḥā·ṭə·’ū

they have sinned ､

בָהֶ֔ם

ḇā·hem,

in

וְטִהַרְתִּ֤י

wə·ṭi·har·tî

and will cleanse

אוֹתָם֙

’ō·w·ṯām

וְהָיוּ־

wə·hā·yū-

and they shall be

לִ֣י

lî

My

､ לְעָ֔ם

lə·‘ām,

וַאֲנִ֕י

wa·’ă·nî

and I

אֶהְיֶ֥ה

’eh·yeh

will be

לָהֶ֖ם

lā·hem

. לֵאלֹהִֽים׃

lê·lō·hîm.

וְעַבְדִּ֤י

wə·‘aḇ·dî

And My servant

דָוִד֙

ḏā·wiḏ

מֶ֣לֶךְ

me·leḵ

[shall] [be] king

עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם

‘ă·lê·hem,

– וְרוֹעֶ֥ה

wə·rō·w·‘eh

and shepherd –

אֶחָ֖ד

’e·ḥāḏ

יִהְיֶ֣ה

yih·yeh

לְכֻלָּ֑ם

lə·ḵul·lām;

､ וּבְמִשְׁפָּטַ֣י

ū·ḇə·miš·pā·ṭay

and in My judgments ､

יֵלֵ֔כוּ

yê·lê·ḵū,

they shall walk

､ וְחֻקֹּתַ֥י

wə·ḥuq·qō·ṯay

and My statutes ､

יִשְׁמְר֖וּ

yiš·mə·rū

וְעָשׂ֥וּ

wə·‘ā·śū

and do

. אוֹתָֽם׃

’ō·w·ṯām.

וְיָשְׁב֣וּ

And they shall dwell

עַל־

‘al-

הָאָ֗רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ,

the land

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

’ă·šer

נָתַ֙תִּי֙

nā·ṯat·tî

､ לְעַבְדִּ֣י

lə·‘aḇ·dî

to My servant ､

לְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב

lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ,

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

– יָֽשְׁבוּ־

yā·šə·ḇū-

בָ֖הּ

ḇāh

in

אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem;

וְיָשְׁב֣וּ

wə·yā·šə·ḇū

and they shall dwell

､ עָלֶ֡יהָ

‘ā·le·hā

､ הֵ֠מָּה

hêm·māh

they ､

､ וּבְנֵיהֶ֞ם

ū·ḇə·nê·hem

and their children ､

וּבְנֵ֤י

ū·ḇə·nê

בְנֵיהֶם֙

ḇə·nê·hem

their children's

עַד־

‘aḏ-

– עוֹלָ֔ם

‘ō·w·lām,

ever –

וְדָוִ֣ד

wə·ḏā·wiḏ

and David [shall] [be]

עַבְדִּ֔י

‘aḇ·dî,

נָשִׂ֥יא

nā·śî

לָהֶ֖ם

lā·hem

. לְעוֹלָֽם׃

lə·‘ō·w·lām.

וְכָרַתִּ֤י

wə·ḵā·rat·tî

And Moreover I will make

לָהֶם֙

lā·hem

with them

בְּרִ֣ית

bə·rîṯ

שָׁל֔וֹם

šā·lō·wm,

בְּרִ֥ית

bə·rîṯ

עוֹלָ֖ם

‘ō·w·lām

יִהְיֶ֣ה

yih·yeh

and it shall be

אוֹתָ֑ם

’ō·w·ṯām;

with them

וּנְתַתִּים֙

ū·nə·ṯat·tîm

and I will establish them

וְהִרְבֵּיתִ֣י

wə·hir·bê·ṯî

אוֹתָ֔ם

’ō·w·ṯām,

וְנָתַתִּ֧י

wə·nā·ṯat·tî

and I will set

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

מִקְדָּשִׁ֛י

miq·dā·šî

בְּתוֹכָ֖ם

bə·ṯō·w·ḵām

. לְעוֹלָֽם׃

lə·‘ō·w·lām.

וְהָיָ֤ה

wə·hā·yāh

And shall be

מִשְׁכָּנִי֙

miš·kā·nî

עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם

‘ă·lê·hem,

with them

וְהָיִ֥יתִי

wə·hā·yî·ṯî

and indeed I will be

לָהֶ֖ם

lā·hem

､ לֵֽאלֹהִ֑ים

lê·lō·hîm;

God ､

וְהֵ֖מָּה

wə·hêm·māh

and they

יִֽהְיוּ־

yih·yū-

לִ֥י

lî

My

. לְעָֽם׃

lə·‘ām.

וְיָֽדְעוּ֙

wə·yā·ḏə·‘ū

And will know

הַגּוֹיִ֔ם

hag·gō·w·yim,

כִּ֚י

kî

אֲנִ֣י

’ă·nî

I

יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

מְקַדֵּ֖שׁ

mə·qad·dêš

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

בִּהְי֧וֹת

bih·yō·wṯ

מִקְדָּשִׁ֛י

miq·dā·šî

בְּתוֹכָ֖ם

bə·ṯō·w·ḵām

. לְעוֹלָֽם׃

lə·‘ō·w·lām.
