וַיִּגְּשׁ֨וּ

אֶל־
’el-
to
､ זְרֻבָּבֶ֜ל
zə·rub·bā·ḇel
וְאֶל־
wə·’el-
and
רָאשֵׁ֣י
rā·šê
the heads
､ הָֽאָב֗וֹת
hā·’ā·ḇō·wṯ,
of the fathers' [houses] ､
וַיֹּאמְר֤וּ
way·yō·mə·rū
and said
לָהֶם֙
lā·hem
to them
נִבְנֶ֣ה
niḇ·neh
עִמָּכֶ֔ם
‘im·mā·ḵem,
with you
כִּ֣י
kî
כָכֶ֔ם
ḵā·ḵem,
as you [do]
נִדְר֖וֹשׁ
niḏ·rō·wōš
we seek
､ לֵֽאלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם
lê·lō·hê·ḵem;
your God ､
[ולא]
wə·lō
-
(וְל֣וֹ ׀)
wə·lōw
and to Him
אֲנַ֣חְנוּ
’ă·naḥ·nū
we
זֹבְחִ֗ים
zō·ḇə·ḥîm,
מִימֵי֙
mî·mê
אֵסַ֤ר
’ê·sar
of
חַדֹּן֙
ḥad·dōn
מֶ֣לֶךְ
me·leḵ
､ אַשּׁ֔וּר
’aš·šūr,
of Assyria ､
הַמַּעֲלֶ֥ה
ham·ma·‘ă·leh
אֹתָ֖נוּ
’ō·ṯā·nū
us
