down the middle
וַיִּתֵּ֥ן
way·yit·tên
and placed
אִישׁ־
’îš-
、 בִּתְר֖וֹ
biṯ·rōw
piece
לִקְרַ֣את
liq·raṯ
– רֵעֵ֑הוּ
rê·‘ê·hū;
the other
וְאֶת־
wə·’eṯ-
but
הַצִפֹּ֖ר‪‬
ha·ṣip·pōr
the birds

. בָתָֽר׃
