he had prepared
וַיִּתֵּ֖ן
way·yit·tên
and he set [it]
、 לִפְנֵיהֶ֑ם
lip̄·nê·hem;
וְהֽוּא־
wə·hū-
and he
עֹמֵ֧ד
‘ō·mêḏ
עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם
‘ă·lê·hem
by them
תַּ֥חַת
ta·ḥaṯ
、 הָעֵ֖ץ
hā·‘êṣ
