וַיַּפֵּל֩
way·yap·pêl
And caused to fall
יְהוָ֨ה
Yah·weh
אֱלֹהִ֧ים ׀
’ĕ·lō·hîm
תַּרְדֵּמָ֛ה
tar·dê·māh
עַל־
‘al-
– הָאָדָ֖ם
hā·’ā·ḏām
Adam –
､ וַיִּישָׁ֑ן
way·yî·šān;
and he slept ､
וַיִּקַּ֗ח
way·yiq·qaḥ,
and He took
אַחַת֙
’a·ḥaṯ
､ מִצַּלְעֹתָ֔יו
miṣ·ṣal·‘ō·ṯāw,
of his ribs ､
וַיִּסְגֹּ֥ר
way·yis·gōr
and closed up
בָּשָׂ֖ר
bā·śār
the flesh
. תַּחְתֶּֽנָּה׃
taḥ·ten·nāh.
in its place .
