וַֽיִּשְׁאֲל֞וּ
way·yiš·’ă·lū
And asked
אַנְשֵׁ֤י
’an·šê
the men
הַמָּקוֹם֙
ham·mā·qō·wm
– לְאִשְׁתּ֔וֹ
lə·’iš·tōw,
､ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר
way·yō·mer
and he said ､
אֲחֹ֣תִי
’ă·ḥō·ṯî
､ הִ֑וא
hî
she [is] ､
כִּ֤י
kî
יָרֵא֙
yā·rê
､ לֵאמֹ֣ר
lê·mōr
to say ､
– אִשְׁתִּ֔י
’iš·tî,
[She is] my wife –
פֶּן־
pen-
יַֽהַרְגֻ֜נִי
ya·har·ḡu·nî
kill me
אַנְשֵׁ֤י
’an·šê
the men
､ הַמָּקוֹם֙
ham·mā·qō·wm
of the place ､
עַל־
‘al-
on account of
רִבְקָ֔ה
riḇ·qāh,
כִּֽי־
kî-
טוֹבַ֥ת
ṭō·w·ḇaṯ
מַרְאֶ֖ה
mar·’eh
. הִֽיא׃
hî.
she [is] .
