וַנֹּ֙אמֶר֙
wan·nō·mer
and we said
אֶל־
’el-
to
､ אֲדֹנִ֔י
’ă·ḏō·nî,
my lord ､
יֶשׁ־
yeš-
we have
לָ֙נוּ֙
lā·nū
to us
､ אָ֣ב
’āḇ
a father ､
､ זָקֵ֔ן
zā·qên,
an old man ､
וְיֶ֥לֶד
wə·ye·leḏ
and a child
､ זְקֻנִ֖ים
zə·qu·nîm
of [his] old age ､
– קָטָ֑ן
qā·ṭān;
[who is] young –
וְאָחִ֨יו
wə·’ā·ḥîw
､ מֵ֜ת
mêṯ
is dead ､
וַיִּוָּתֵ֨ר
way·yiw·wā·ṯêr
and is left
ה֧וּא
hū
he
לְבַדּ֛וֹ
lə·ḇad·dōw
､ לְאִמּ֖וֹ
lə·’im·mōw
וְאָבִ֥יו
wə·’ā·ḇîw
. אֲהֵבֽוֹ׃
’ă·hê·ḇōw.
