בַּיּ֣וֹם

bay·yō·wm

In day

הַה֡וּא

ha·hū

יִפְקֹ֣ד

yip̄·qōḏ

יְהוָה֩

Yah·weh

בְּחַרְב֨וֹ‪‬

bə·ḥar·ḇōw

הַקָּשָׁ֜ה

haq·qā·šāh

וְהַגְּדוֹלָ֣ה

wə·hag·gə·ḏō·w·lāh

וְהַֽחֲזָקָ֗ה

wə·ha·ḥă·zā·qāh,

עַ֤ל

‘al

on

לִוְיָתָן֙

liw·yā·ṯān

､ נָחָ֣שׁ

nā·ḥāš

the serpent ､

בָּרִ֔חַ

bā·ri·aḥ,

וְעַל֙

wə·‘al

and

לִוְיָתָ֔ן

liw·yā·ṯān,

– נָחָ֖שׁ

nā·ḥāš

עֲקַלָּת֑וֹן

‘ă·qal·lā·ṯō·wn;

וְהָרַ֥ג

wə·hā·raḡ

and He will slay

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַתַּנִּ֖ין

hat·tan·nîn

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

that [is]

. בַּיָּֽם׃

bay·yām.

in the sea .

In day

הַה֑וּא

ha·hū;

כֶּ֥רֶם

ke·rem

חֶ֖מֶד‪‬

ḥe·meḏ

עַנּוּ־

‘an·nū-

. לָֽהּ׃

lāh.

to her .

אֲנִ֤י

’ă·nî

I

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

נֹֽצְרָ֔הּ

nō·ṣə·rāh,

. לִרְגָעִ֖ים

lir·ḡā·‘îm

אַשְׁקֶ֑נָּה

’aš·qen·nāh;

I water it

פֶּ֚ן

pen

יִפְקֹ֣ד

yip̄·qōḏ

עָלֶ֔יהָ

‘ā·le·hā,

it

לַ֥יְלָה

lay·lāh

וָי֖וֹם

wā·yō·wm

and day

. אֶצֳּרֶֽנָּה׃

’eṣ·ṣo·ren·nāh.

I keep it .

חֵמָ֖ה

ḥê·māh

אֵ֣ין

’ên

[is] not

לִ֑י

lî;

in Me

מִֽי־

mî-

יִתְּנֵ֜נִי

yit·tə·nê·nî

would set Against Me

שָׁמִ֥יר

šā·mîr

שַׁ֙יִת֙

ša·yiṯ

[and] thorns

؟ בַּמִּלְחָמָ֔ה

bam·mil·ḥā·māh,

in battle ؟

אֶפְשְׂעָ֥ה

’ep̄·śə·‘āh

I would go

בָ֖הּ

ḇāh

אֲצִיתֶ֥נָּה

’ă·ṣî·ṯen·nāh

I would burn them

. יָּֽחַד׃

yā·ḥaḏ.

א֚וֹ

’ōw

Or

יַחֲזֵ֣ק

ya·ḥă·zêq

let him take hold

､ בְּמָעוּזִּ֔י

bə·mā·‘ūz·zî,

of My strength ､

יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה

ya·‘ă·śeh

[That] he may make

שָׁל֖וֹם

šā·lō·wm

לִ֑י

lî;

with Me

שָׁל֖וֹם

šā·lō·wm

יַֽעֲשֶׂה־

ya·‘ă·śeh-

[And] he shall make

. לִּֽי׃

lî.

with Me .

הַבָּאִים֙

hab·bā·’îm

– יַשְׁרֵ֣שׁ

yaš·rêš

He shall cause to take root –

יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב

ya·‘ă·qōḇ,

יָצִ֥יץ

yā·ṣîṣ

､ וּפָרַ֖ח

ū·p̄ā·raḥ

and bud ､

יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

וּמָלְא֥וּ

ū·mā·lə·’ū

and fill

פְנֵי־

p̄ə·nê-

the face

תֵבֵ֖ל

ṯê·ḇêl

of the world

תְּנוּבָֽה׃

tə·nū·ḇāh.

with fruit

הַכְּמַכַּ֥ת

hak·kə·mak·kaṯ

Has He struck [Israel]

מַכֵּ֖הוּ

mak·kê·hū

those who struck him

הִכָּ֑הוּ

hik·kā·hū;

as He struck

אִם־

’im-

if

כְּהֶ֥רֶג

kə·he·reḡ

according to the slaughter

הֲרֻגָ֖יו

hă·ru·ḡāw

of those who were slain by Him

. הֹרָֽג׃

hō·rāḡ.

Or has He been slain .

､ בְּסַּאסְּאָ֖ה

bə·sas·sə·’āh

In measure ､

､ בְּשַׁלְחָ֣הּ

bə·šal·ḥāh

by sending it away ､

תְּרִיבֶ֑נָּה

tə·rî·ḇen·nāh;

You contended with it

הָגָ֛ה

hā·ḡāh

He removes [it]

בְּרוּח֥וֹ

bə·rū·ḥōw

הַקָּשָׁ֖ה

haq·qā·šāh

בְּי֥וֹם

bə·yō·wm

in the day

. קָדִֽים׃

qā·ḏîm.

of the east wind .

לָכֵ֗ן

lā·ḵên,

בְּזֹאת֙

bə·zōṯ

– יְכֻפַּ֣ר

yə·ḵup·par

will be covered –

עֲוֺֽן־

‘ă·wōn-

יַעֲקֹ֔ב

ya·‘ă·qōḇ,

וְזֶ֕ה

wə·zeh

and this [is]

כָּל־

kāl-

פְּרִ֖י

pə·rî

הָסִ֣ר

hā·sir

– חַטָּאת֑וֹ

ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯōw;

בְּשׂוּמ֣וֹ ׀

bə·śū·mōw

כָּל־

kāl-

אַבְנֵ֣י

’aḇ·nê

מִזְבֵּ֗חַ

miz·bê·aḥ,

of the altar

כְּאַבְנֵי־

kə·’aḇ·nê-

גִר֙

ḡir

､ מְנֻפָּצ֔וֹת

mə·nup·pā·ṣō·wṯ,

that are beaten to dust ､

לֹֽא־

lō-

not

יָקֻ֥מוּ

yā·qu·mū

אֲשֵׁרִ֖ים

’ă·šê·rîm

. וְחַמָּנִֽים׃

wə·ḥam·mā·nîm.

and incense altars .

כִּ֣י

kî

עִ֤יר

‘îr

the city

בְּצוּרָה֙

bə·ṣū·rāh

､ בָּדָ֔ד

bā·ḏāḏ,

[will be] desolate ､

נָוֶ֕ה

nā·weh

､ מְשֻׁלָּ֥ח

mə·šul·lāḥ

וְנֶעֱזָ֖ב

wə·ne·‘ĕ·zāḇ

and left

– כַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר

kam·miḏ·bār;

like a wilderness –

שָׁ֣ם

šām

､ יִרְעֶ֥ה

yir·‘eh

will feed ､

עֵ֛גֶל

‘ê·ḡel

the calf

וְשָׁ֥ם

wə·šām

､ יִרְבָּ֖ץ

yir·bāṣ

it will lie down ､

וְכִלָּ֥ה

wə·ḵil·lāh

. סְעִפֶֽיהָ׃

sə·‘i·p̄e·hā.

､ בִּיבֹ֤שׁ

bî·ḇōš

When are withered ､

קְצִירָהּ֙

qə·ṣî·rāh

– תִּשָּׁבַ֔רְנָה

tiš·šā·ḇar·nāh,

they will be broken off –

נָשִׁ֕ים

nā·šîm

､ בָּא֖וֹת

bā·’ō·wṯ

come ､

מְאִיר֣וֹת

mə·’î·rō·wṯ

[and] set on fire

אוֹתָ֑הּ

’ō·w·ṯāh;

כִּ֣י

kî

לֹ֤א

lō

no

עַם־

‘am-

､ בִּינוֹת֙

bî·nō·wṯ

of understanding ､

ה֔וּא

hū,

it [is]

עַל־

‘al-

כֵּן֙

kên

לֹֽא־

lō-

not

יְרַחֲמֶ֣נּוּ

yə·ra·ḥă·men·nū

will have mercy on them

עֹשֵׂ֔הוּ

‘ō·śê·hū,

He who made them

וְיֹצְר֖וֹ

wə·yō·ṣə·rōw

and He who formed them

לֹ֥א

lō

no

. יְחֻנֶּֽנּוּ׃

yə·ḥun·nen·nū.

will show them favor .

וְהָיָה֙

wə·hā·yāh

And it shall come to pass

､ בַּיּ֣וֹם

bay·yō·wm

in day ､

הַה֔וּא

ha·hū,

יַחְבֹּ֧ט

yaḥ·bōṭ

[That] will thresh

יְהוָ֛ה

Yah·weh

מִשִּׁבֹּ֥לֶת

miš·šib·bō·leṯ

from the channel

הַנָּהָ֖ר

han·nā·hār

of the River

עַד־

‘aḏ-

to

נַ֣חַל

na·ḥal

､ מִצְרָ֑יִם

miṣ·rā·yim;

of Egypt ､

וְאַתֶּ֧ם

wə·’at·tem

and you

תְּלֻקְּט֛וּ

tə·luq·qə·ṭū

will be gathered

לְאַחַ֥ד

lə·’a·ḥaḏ

､ אֶחָ֖ד

’e·ḥāḏ

[by] one ､

בְּנֵ֥י

bə·nê

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.

ס

-

וְהָיָ֣ה ׀

wə·hā·yāh

So it shall be

､ בַּיּ֣וֹם

bay·yō·wm

in day ､

הַה֗וּא

ha·hū,

､ יִתָּקַע֮

yit·tā·qa‘

will be blown ､

בְּשׁוֹפָ֣ר

bə·šō·w·p̄ār

גָּדוֹל֒

gā·ḏō·wl

וּבָ֗אוּ

ū·ḇā·’ū,

and they will come

הָאֹֽבְדִים֙

hā·’ō·ḇə·ḏîm

who are about to perish

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

､ אַשּׁ֔וּר

’aš·šūr,

of Assyria ､

וְהַנִּדָּחִ֖ים

wə·han·nid·dā·ḥîm

and they who are outcasts

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

､ מִצְרָ֑יִם

miṣ·rā·yim;

of Egypt ､

וְהִשְׁתַּחֲו֧וּ

wə·hiš·ta·ḥă·wū

and shall worship

לַיהוָ֛ה

Yah·weh

בְּהַ֥ר

bə·har

הַקֹּ֖דֶשׁ

haq·qō·ḏeš

the holy

. בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

bî·rū·šā·lim.
