סֽוֹרְרִים֙

נְאֻם־

､ יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

לַעֲשׂ֤וֹת

la·‘ă·śō·wṯ

､ עֵצָה֙

‘ê·ṣāh

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

but not

מִנִּ֔י

min·nî,

of Me

וְלִנְסֹ֥ךְ

wə·lin·sōḵ

､ מַסֵּכָ֖ה

mas·sê·ḵāh

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

but not

､ רוּחִ֑י

rū·ḥî;

of My Spirit ､

לְמַ֛עַן

lə·ma·‘an

סְפ֥וֹת

sə·p̄ō·wṯ

חַטָּ֖את

ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ

עַל־

‘al-

to

– חַטָּֽאת׃

ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ.

sin –

הַהֹלְכִים֙

ha·hō·lə·ḵîm

לָרֶ֣דֶת

lā·re·ḏeṯ

to go down to

､ מִצְרַ֔יִם

miṣ·ra·yim,

– וּפִ֖י

ū·p̄î

and My advice –

לֹ֣א

lō

not

שָׁאָ֑לוּ

šā·’ā·lū;

לָעוֹז֙

lā·‘ō·wz

to strengthen themselves

בְּמָע֣וֹז

bə·mā·‘ō·wz

in the strength

､ פַּרְעֹ֔ה

par·‘ōh,

of Pharaoh ､

וְלַחְס֖וֹת

wə·laḥ·sō·wṯ

and to trust

בְּצֵ֥ל

bə·ṣêl

in the shadow

! מִצְרָֽיִם׃

miṣ·rā·yim.

of Egypt !

וְהָיָ֥ה

wə·hā·yāh

therefore shall be

לָכֶ֛ם

lā·ḵem

מָע֥וֹז

mā·‘ō·wz

פַּרְעֹ֖ה

par·‘ōh

､ לְבֹ֑שֶׁת

lə·ḇō·šeṯ;

וְהֶחָס֥וּת

wə·he·ḥā·sūṯ

בְּצֵל־

bə·ṣêl-

in the shadow

מִצְרַ֖יִם

miṣ·ra·yim

. לִכְלִמָּֽה׃

liḵ·lim·māh.

shall be [your] humiliation .

כִּֽי־

kî-

הָי֥וּ

hā·yū

､ בְצֹ֖עַן

ḇə·ṣō·‘an

at Zoan ､

שָׂרָ֑יו

śā·rāw;

וּמַלְאָכָ֖יו

ū·mal·’ā·ḵāw

and his ambassadors

חָנֵ֥ס

ḥā·nês

. יַגִּֽיעוּ׃

yag·gî·‘ū.

כֹּ֣ל

[הבאיש]

hiḇ·’îš

(הֹבִ֔ישׁ)

hō·ḇîš,

they were ashamed

עַל־

‘al-

of

עַ֖ם

‘am

לֹא־

not

יוֹעִ֣ילוּ

[who] could benefit

לָ֑מוֹ

לֹ֤א

Or be

לְעֵ֙זֶר֙

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

､ לְהוֹעִ֔יל

lə·hō·w·‘îl,

כִּ֥י

kî

but

､ לְבֹ֖שֶׁת

lə·ḇō·šeṯ

a shame ､

וְגַם־

wə·ḡam-

and also

. לְחֶרְפָּֽה׃

lə·ḥer·pāh.

The burden against

בַּהֲמ֣וֹת

ba·hă·mō·wṯ

. נֶ֑גֶב

ne·ḡeḇ;

of the Negev .

בְּאֶרֶץ֩

bə·’e·reṣ

צָרָ֨ה

ṣā·rāh

､ וְצוּקָ֜ה

wə·ṣū·qāh

and anguish ､

לָבִ֧יא

lā·ḇî

､ וָלַ֣יִשׁ

wā·la·yiš

and lion ､

מֵהֶ֗ם

mê·hem,

from which [came]

אֶפְעֶה֙

’ep̄·‘eh

וְשָׂרָ֣ף

wə·śā·rāp̄

and fiery serpent

､ מְעוֹפֵ֔ף

mə·‘ō·w·p̄êp̄,

יִשְׂאוּ֩

yiś·’ū

they will carry

עַל־

‘al-

on

כֶּ֨תֶף

ke·ṯep̄

､ עֲיָרִ֜ים

‘ă·yā·rîm

of young donkeys ､

חֵֽילֵהֶ֗ם

ḥê·lê·hem,

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

and on

דַּבֶּ֤שֶׁת

dab·be·šeṯ

､ גְּמַלִּים֙

gə·mal·lîm

of camels ､

אֽוֹצְרֹתָ֔ם

’ō·wṣ·rō·ṯām,

their treasures

עַל־

‘al-

to

עַ֖ם

‘am

לֹ֥א

lō

not

. יוֹעִֽילוּ׃

yō·w·‘î·lū.

[who] shall profit .

וּמִצְרַ֕יִם

ū·miṣ·ra·yim

､ הֶ֥בֶל

he·ḇel

in vain ､

. וָרִ֖יק

wā·rîq

and to no purpose .

יַעְזֹ֑רוּ

ya‘·zō·rū;

לָכֵן֙

lā·ḵên

קָרָ֣אתִי

qā·rā·ṯî

､ לָזֹ֔את

lā·zōṯ,

this [one] ､

רַ֥הַב

ra·haḇ

הֵ֖ם

hêm

. שָֽׁבֶת׃

A Warning to a Rebellious People

עַתָּ֗ה

כָתְבָ֥הּ

עַל־

‘al-

on

､ ל֛וּחַ

lū·aḥ

a tablet ､

אִתָּ֖ם

’it·tām

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

and on

､ סֵ֣פֶר

sê·p̄er

a scroll ､

חֻקָּ֑הּ

ḥuq·qāh;

וּתְהִי֙

ū·ṯə·hî

that it may be

לְי֣וֹם

lə·yō·wm

אַחֲר֔וֹן

’a·ḥă·rō·wn,

לָעַ֖ד

lā·‘aḏ

עַד־

‘aḏ-

– עוֹלָֽם׃

‘ō·w·lām.

and ever –

כִּ֣י

kî

､ עַ֤ם

‘am

a people ､

מְרִי֙

mə·rî

ה֔וּא

hū,

it [is]

､ בָּנִ֖ים

bā·nîm

כֶּחָשִׁ֑ים

ke·ḥā·šîm;

בָּנִ֕ים

bā·nîm

לֹֽא־

lō-

not

אָב֥וּ

’ā·ḇū

[who] will

שְׁמ֖וֹעַ

šə·mō·w·a‘

תּוֹרַ֥ת

tō·w·raṯ

the law

– יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

of Yahweh –

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

אָמְר֤וּ

’ā·mə·rū

､ לָֽרֹאִים֙

lā·rō·’îm

to the seers ､

– לֹ֣א

not –

תִרְא֔וּ

ṯir·’ū,

do see

､ וְלַ֣חֹזִ֔ים

wə·la·ḥō·zîm,

and to the prophets ､

לֹ֥א

lō

not

תֶחֱזוּ־

ṯe·ḥĕ·zū-

לָ֖נוּ

lā·nū

to us

､ נְכֹח֑וֹת

nə·ḵō·ḥō·wṯ;

right things ､

דַּבְּרוּ־

dab·bə·rū-

לָ֣נוּ

lā·nū

to us

､ חֲלָק֔וֹת

ḥă·lā·qō·wṯ,

flattering things ､

חֲז֖וּ

ḥă·zū

. מַהֲתַלּֽוֹת׃

ma·hă·ṯal·lō·wṯ.

ס֚וּרוּ

מִנֵּי־

min·nê-

､ דֶ֔רֶךְ

ḏe·reḵ,

of the way ､

הַטּ֖וּ

haṭ·ṭū

מִנֵּי־

min·nê-

､ אֹ֑רַח

’ō·raḥ;

the path ､

הַשְׁבִּ֥יתוּ

haš·bî·ṯū

מִפָּנֵ֖ינוּ

mip·pā·nê·nū

אֶת־

קְד֥וֹשׁ

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

､ בַּדָּבָ֣ר

bad·dā·ḇār

הַזֶּ֑ה

haz·zeh;

וַֽתִּבְטְחוּ֙

wat·tiḇ·ṭə·ḥū

בְּעֹ֣שֶׁק

bə·‘ō·šeq

､ וְנָל֔וֹז

wə·nā·lō·wz,

and perversity ､

וַתִּֽשָּׁעֲנ֖וּ

wat·tiš·šā·‘ă·nū

and rely

– עָלָֽיו׃

‘ā·lāw.

on them –

לָכֵ֗ן

lā·ḵên,

יִֽהְיֶ֤ה

yih·yeh

לָכֶם֙

lā·ḵem

to you

הֶעָוֺ֣ן

he·‘ā·wōn

הַזֶּ֔ה

haz·zeh,

כְּפֶ֣רֶץ

kə·p̄e·reṣ

､ נֹפֵ֔ל

nō·p̄êl,

ready to fall ､

נִבְעֶ֖ה

niḇ·‘eh

､ בְּחוֹמָ֣ה

bə·ḥō·w·māh

in a wall ､

נִשְׂגָּבָ֑ה

niś·gā·ḇāh;

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

פִּתְאֹ֥ם

piṯ·’ōm

לְפֶ֖תַע

lə·p̄e·ṯa‘

יָב֥וֹא

yā·ḇō·w

. שִׁבְרָֽהּ׃

šiḇ·rāh.

וּ֠שְׁבָרָהּ

ū·šə·ḇā·rāh

And He shall break it

כְּשֵׁ֨בֶר

kə·šê·ḇer

like the breaking

נֵ֧בֶל

nê·ḇel

of the vessel

יוֹצְרִ֛ים

yō·wṣ·rîm

– כָּת֖וּת

kā·ṯūṯ

which is broken in pieces –

לֹ֣א

lō

not

– יַחְמֹ֑ל

yaḥ·mōl;

He shall spare –

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

so not

יִמָּצֵ֤א

yim·mā·ṣê

there shall be found

בִמְכִתָּתוֹ֙

ḇim·ḵit·tā·ṯōw

among its fragments

חֶ֔רֶשׂ

ḥe·reś,

לַחְתּ֥וֹת

laḥ·tō·wṯ

אֵשׁ֙

’êš

､ מִיָּק֔וּד

mî·yā·qūḏ,

from the hearth ､

וְלַחְשֹׂ֥ף

wə·laḥ·śōp̄

Or to take

מַ֖יִם

ma·yim

. מִגֶּֽבֶא׃

mig·ge·ḇe.

from the cistern .

the Lord

､ יְהוִ֜ה

GOD ､

– יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל

yiś·rā·’êl,

of Israel –

בְּשׁוּבָ֤ה

bə·šū·ḇāh

וָנַ֙חַת֙

wā·na·ḥaṯ

and rest

– תִּוָּ֣שֵׁע֔וּן

tiw·wā·šê·‘ūn,

you shall be saved –

בְּהַשְׁקֵט֙

bə·haš·qêṭ

וּבְבִטְחָ֔ה

ū·ḇə·ḇiṭ·ḥāh,

תִּהְיֶ֖ה

tih·yeh

גְּבֽוּרַתְכֶ֑ם

gə·ḇū·raṯ·ḵem;

וְלֹ֖א

wə·lō

but not

. אֲבִיתֶֽם׃

’ă·ḇî·ṯem.

､ וַתֹּ֨אמְר֥וּ

wat·tō·mə·rū

And you said ､

– לֹא־

lō-

No –

כִ֛י

ḵî

עַל־

‘al-

on

– ס֥וּס

sūs

נָנ֖וּס

nā·nūs

we will flee

עַל־

‘al-

כֵּ֣ן

kên

! תְּנוּס֑וּן

tə·nū·sūn;

you shall flee !

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

and on

– קַ֣ל

qal

swift [horses] –

נִרְכָּ֔ב

nir·kāḇ,

we will ride

עַל־

‘al-

כֵּ֖ן

kên

יִקַּ֥לּוּ

yiq·qal·lū

. רֹדְפֵיכֶֽם׃

rō·ḏə·p̄ê·ḵem.

those who pursue you .

Thousand [shall flee]

אֶחָ֗ד

מִפְּנֵי֙

mip·pə·nê

at

גַּעֲרַ֣ת

ga·‘ă·raṯ

of one –

מִפְּנֵ֛י

at

גַּעֲרַ֥ת

ga·‘ă·raṯ

חֲמִשָּׁ֖ה

ḥă·miš·šāh

– תָּנֻ֑סוּ

tā·nu·sū;

you shall flee –

עַ֣ד

‘aḏ

אִם־

’im-

נוֹתַרְתֶּ֗ם

nō·w·ṯar·tem,

כַּתֹּ֙רֶן֙

kat·tō·ren

as a pole

עַל־

‘al-

on

רֹ֣אשׁ

rōš

､ הָהָ֔ר

hā·hār,

of a mountain ､

וְכַנֵּ֖ס

wə·ḵan·nês

and as a banner

עַל־

‘al-

on

. הַגִּבְעָֽה׃

hag·giḇ·‘āh.

a hill .

God's Mercies

וְלָכֵ֞ן

wə·lā·ḵên

､ יְחַכֶּ֤ה

yə·ḥak·keh

will wait ､

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

לַֽחֲנַנְכֶ֔ם

la·ḥă·nan·ḵem,

that He may be gracious to you

וְלָכֵ֥ן

wə·lā·ḵên

､ יָר֖וּם

yā·rūm

He will be exalted ､

לְרַֽחֶמְכֶ֑ם

lə·ra·ḥem·ḵem;

that He may have mercy on you

כִּֽי־

kî-

אֱלֹהֵ֤י

’ĕ·lō·hê

– מִשְׁפָּט֙

miš·pāṭ

of justice –

יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

אַשְׁרֵ֖י

’aš·rê

כָּל־

ח֥וֹכֵי

ḥō·w·ḵê

. לֽוֹ׃

at Jerusalem ､

– בָּכ֣וֹ

חָנ֤וֹן

יָחְנְךָ֙

yā·ḥə·nə·ḵā

He will be gracious to you

לְק֣וֹל

lə·qō·wl

at the sound

זַעֲקֶ֔ךָ

za·‘ă·qe·ḵā,

כְּשָׁמְעָת֖וֹ

kə·šā·mə·‘ā·ṯōw

when He hears it

. עָנָֽךְ׃

‘ā·nāḵ.

He will answer you .

וְנָתַ֨ן

wə·nā·ṯan

And [though] gives

לָכֶ֧ם

lā·ḵem

אֲדֹנָ֛י

’ă·ḏō·nāy

the Lord

לֶ֥חֶם

le·ḥem

､ צָ֖ר

ṣār

of adversity ､

וּמַ֣יִם

ū·ma·yim

and the water

､ לָ֑חַץ

lā·ḥaṣ;

of affliction ､

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

and yet not

יִכָּנֵ֥ף

yik·kā·nêp̄

shall be moved into a corner

､ עוֹד֙

‘ō·wḏ

מוֹרֶ֔יךָ

mō·w·re·ḵā,

וְהָי֥וּ

wə·hā·yū

but will

עֵינֶ֖יךָ

‘ê·ne·ḵā

רֹא֥וֹת

rō·’ō·wṯ

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

– מוֹרֶֽיךָ׃

mō·w·re·ḵā.

your teachers –

וְאָזְנֶ֙יךָ֙

wə·’ā·zə·ne·ḵā

תִּשְׁמַ֣עְנָה

tiš·ma‘·nāh

דָבָ֔ר

ḏā·ḇār,

מֵֽאַחֲרֶ֖יךָ

mê·’a·ḥă·re·ḵā

､ לֵאמֹ֑ר

lê·mōr;

זֶ֤ה

zeh

this [is]

､ הַדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙

had·de·reḵ

the way ､

לְכ֣וּ

lə·ḵū

ב֔וֹ

ḇōw,

in it

כִּ֥י

kî

､ תַאֲמִ֖ינוּ

ṯa·’ă·mî·nū

you turn to the right hand ､

וְכִ֥י

wə·ḵî

. תַשְׂמְאִֽילוּ׃

ṯaś·mə·’î·lū.

you turn to the left .

וְטִמֵּאתֶ֗ם

wə·ṭim·mê·ṯem,

And You will defile

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

צִפּוּי֙

ṣip·pui

פְּסִילֵ֣י

pə·sî·lê

of graven images

､ כַסְפֶּ֔ךָ

ḵas·pe·ḵā,

of your silver ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

אֲפֻדַּ֖ת

’ă·p̄ud·daṯ

מַסֵּכַ֣ת

mas·sê·ḵaṯ

of molded images

. זְהָבֶ֑ךָ

zə·hā·ḇe·ḵā;

תִּזְרֵם֙

tiz·rêm

You will throw them away

כְּמ֣וֹ

kə·mōw

as

– דָוָ֔ה

ḏā·wāh,

a menstruating one –

צֵ֖א

ṣê

תֹּ֥אמַר

tō·mar

You will say

. לֽוֹ׃

lōw.

to them .

וְנָתַן֩

wə·nā·ṯan

And He will give

מְטַ֨ר

mə·ṭar

､ זַרְעֲךָ֜

zar·‘ă·ḵā

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

with which

תִּזְרַ֣ע

tiz·ra‘

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הָאֲדָמָ֗ה

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh,

וְלֶ֙חֶם֙

wə·le·ḥem

תְּבוּאַ֣ת

tə·ḇū·’aṯ

of the increase

､ הָֽאֲדָמָ֔ה

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh,

of the earth ､

וְהָיָ֥ה

wə·hā·yāh

and it will be

דָשֵׁ֖ן

ḏā·šên

– וְשָׁמֵ֑ן

wə·šā·mên;

and plentiful –

יִרְעֶ֥ה

yir·‘eh

will feed

מִקְנֶ֛יךָ

miq·ne·ḵā

בַּיּ֥וֹם

bay·yō·wm

in day

הַה֖וּא

ha·hū

כַּ֥ר

kar

. נִרְחָֽב׃

nir·ḥāḇ.

וְהָאֲלָפִ֣ים

wə·hā·’ă·lā·p̄îm

And Likewise the oxen

וְהָעֲיָרִ֗ים

wə·hā·‘ă·yā·rîm,

and the young donkeys

עֹֽבְדֵי֙

‘ō·ḇə·ḏê

הָֽאֲדָמָ֔ה

hā·’ă·ḏā·māh,

､ בְּלִ֥יל

bə·lîl

חָמִ֖יץ

ḥā·mîṣ

יֹאכֵ֑לוּ

yō·ḵê·lū;

will eat

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

זֹרֶ֥ה

zō·reh

has been winnowed

בָרַ֖חַת

ḇā·ra·ḥaṯ

with the shovel

. וּבַמִּזְרֶֽה׃

ū·ḇam·miz·reh.

and fan .

וְהָיָ֣ה ׀

wə·hā·yāh

And there will be

עַל־

‘al-

on

כָּל־

kāl-

､ הַ֣ר

har

גָּבֹ֗הַ‪‬

gā·ḇō·ha,

וְעַל֙

wə·‘al

and on

כָּל־

kāl-

､ גִּבְעָ֣ה

giḇ·‘āh

hill ､

נִשָּׂאָ֔ה

niś·śā·’āh,

פְּלָגִ֖ים

pə·lā·ḡîm

יִבְלֵי־

yiḇ·lê-

מָ֑יִם

mā·yim;

בְּיוֹם֙

bə·yō·wm

in the day

､ הֶ֣רֶג

he·reḡ

of the slaughter ､

רָ֔ב

rāḇ,

בִּנְפֹ֖ל

bin·p̄ōl

. מִגְדָּלִֽים׃

miḡ·dā·lîm.

the towers .

וְהָיָ֤ה

wə·hā·yāh

Moreover will be

אֽוֹר־

’ō·wr-

הַלְּבָנָה֙

hal·lə·ḇā·nāh

of the moon

כְּא֣וֹר

kə·’ō·wr

as the light

､ הַֽחַמָּ֔ה

ha·ḥam·māh,

of the sun ､

וְא֤וֹר

wə·’ō·wr

and the light

הַֽחַמָּה֙

ha·ḥam·māh

of the sun

יִהְיֶ֣ה

yih·yeh

will be

､ שִׁבְעָתַ֔יִם

šiḇ·‘ā·ṯa·yim,

כְּא֖וֹר

kə·’ō·wr

as the light

שִׁבְעַ֣ת

šiḇ·‘aṯ

､ הַיָּמִ֑ים

hay·yā·mîm;

days ､

בְּי֗וֹם

bə·yō·wm,

in the day

חֲבֹ֤שׁ

ḥă·ḇōš

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

שֶׁ֣בֶר

še·ḇer

､ עַמּ֔וֹ

‘am·mōw,

of His people ､

וּמַ֥חַץ

ū·ma·ḥaṣ

and the stroke

מַכָּת֖וֹ

mak·kā·ṯōw

. יִרְפָּֽא׃

בָּ֣א

､ מִמֶּרְחָ֔ק

mim·mer·ḥāq,

בֹּעֵ֣ר

､ אַפּ֔וֹ

’ap·pōw,

[with] His anger ､

– וְכֹ֖בֶד

wə·ḵō·ḇeḏ

and [is] heavy –

מַשָּׂאָ֑ה

maś·śā·’āh;

שְׂפָתָיו֙

śə·p̄ā·ṯāw

מָ֣לְאוּ

mā·lə·’ū

､ זַ֔עַם

za·‘am,

of indignation ､

וּלְשׁוֹנ֖וֹ

ū·lə·šō·w·nōw

– כְּאֵ֥שׁ

kə·’êš

like a fire –

. אֹכָֽלֶת׃

’ō·ḵā·leṯ.

､ וְרוּח֞וֹ

wə·rū·ḥōw

And His breath His ､

､ כְּנַ֤חַל

בְּנָ֣פַת

bə·nā·p̄aṯ

with the sieve

– שָׁ֑וְא

šāw;

of futility –

וְרֶ֣סֶן

wə·re·sen

and [there shall be] a bridle

. מַתְעֶ֔ה

maṯ·‘eh,

Causing [them] to err .

‘al

לְחָיֵ֥י

lə·ḥā·yê

the jaws

､ עַמִּֽים׃

‘am·mîm.

of the people ､

יִֽהְיֶ֣ה

כְּלֵ֖יל

as in the night

הִתְקַדֶּשׁ־

hiṯ·qad·deš-

– חָ֑ג

ḥāḡ;

[when] a festival –

וְשִׂמְחַ֣ת

wə·śim·ḥaṯ

､ לֵבָ֗ב

lê·ḇāḇ,

of heart ､

כַּֽהוֹלֵךְ֙

ka·hō·w·lêḵ

as when one goes

בֶּֽחָלִ֔יל

be·ḥā·lîl,

with a flute

לָב֥וֹא

lā·ḇō·w

בְהַר־

ḇə·har-

into the mountain

､ יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

of Yahweh ､

אֶל־

’el-

to

צ֥וּר

ṣūr

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.

､ וְהִשְׁמִ֨יעַ

wə·hiš·mî·a‘

And will cause to be heard ､

יְהוָ֜ה

ה֣וֹד

hō·wḏ

קוֹל֗וֹ

qō·w·lōw,

וְנַ֤חַת

wə·na·ḥaṯ

and the descent

､ זְרוֹעוֹ֙

zə·rō·w·‘ōw

of His arm ､

יַרְאֶ֔ה

yar·’eh,

בְּזַ֣עַף

bə·za·‘ap̄

with the indignation

､ אַ֔ף

’ap̄,

of [His] anger ､

וְלַ֖הַב

wə·la·haḇ

and the flame

､ אֵ֣שׁ

’êš

of a fire ､

אוֹכֵלָ֑ה

’ō·w·ḵê·lāh;

､ נֶ֥פֶץ

ne·p̄eṣ

[with] scattering ､

､ וָזֶ֖רֶם

wā·ze·rem

and tempest ､

וְאֶ֥בֶן

wə·’e·ḇen

and

. בָּרָֽד׃

bā·rāḏ.

כִּֽי־

kî-

מִקּ֥וֹל

miq·qō·wl

through the voice

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

､ יֵחַ֣ת

yê·ḥaṯ

will be beaten down ､

אַשּׁ֑וּר

’aš·šūr;

בַּשֵּׁ֖בֶט

baš·šê·ḇeṭ

with the rod

. יַכֶּֽה׃

yak·keh.

[As] He strikes .

וְהָיָ֗ה

wə·hā·yāh,

And [It] will be

כֹּ֤ל

kōl

[in] every [place]

､ מַֽעֲבַר֙

ma·‘ă·ḇar

where passes ､

מַטֵּ֣ה

maṭ·ṭêh

מֽוּסָדָ֔ה

mū·sā·ḏāh,

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

’ă·šer

יָנִ֤יחַ

yā·nî·aḥ

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

עָלָ֔יו

‘ā·lāw,

on him

בְּתֻפִּ֖ים

bə·ṯup·pîm

with tambourines

– וּבְכִנֹּר֑וֹת

ū·ḇə·ḵin·nō·rō·wṯ;

and harps –

וּבְמִלְחֲמ֥וֹת

ū·ḇə·mil·ḥă·mō·wṯ

and in battles

תְּנוּפָ֖ה

tə·nū·p̄āh

נִלְחַם־

nil·ḥam-

He will fight

[בה]

bāh

with it .

כִּֽי־

kî-

עָר֤וּךְ

‘ā·rūḵ

[was] established

– מֵֽאֶתְמוּל֙

mê·’eṯ·mūl

from prior [time] –

תָּפְתֶּ֔ה

He has made [it] deep

､ הִרְחִ֑ב

and large ､

מְדֻרָתָ֗הּ

mə·ḏu·rā·ṯāh,

אֵ֤שׁ

’êš

– וְעֵצִים֙

wə·‘ê·ṣîm

and with wood –

הַרְבֵּ֔ה

har·bêh,

נִשְׁמַ֤ת

niš·maṯ

､ יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

of Yahweh ､

כְּנַ֣חַל

kə·na·ḥal

､ גָּפְרִ֔ית

gā·p̄ə·rîṯ,

of brimstone ､

בֹּעֲרָ֖ה

bō·‘ă·rāh
