The Glory of Zion

יְשֻׂשׂ֥וּם‪‬
yə·śu·śūm
מִדְבָּ֖ר
miḏ·bār
וְצִיָּ֑ה
wə·ṣî·yāh;
and the wasteland
､ וְתָגֵ֧ל
wə·ṯā·ḡêl
and shall rejoice ､
עֲרָבָ֛ה
‘ă·rā·ḇāh
the desert
וְתִפְרַ֖ח
wə·ṯip̄·raḥ
. כַּחֲבַצָּֽלֶת׃
ka·ḥă·ḇaṣ·ṣā·leṯ.
as the rose .

פָּרֹ֨חַ
pā·rō·aḥ
תִּפְרַ֜ח
tip̄·raḥ
וְתָגֵ֗ל
wə·ṯā·ḡêl,
אַ֚ף
’ap̄
גִּילַ֣ת
gî·laṯ
with joy
– וְרַנֵּ֔ן
wə·ran·nên,
and singing –
כְּב֤וֹד
kə·ḇō·wḏ
the glory
הַלְּבָנוֹן֙
hal·lə·ḇā·nō·wn
נִתַּן־
nit·tan-
לָ֔הּ
lāh,
to it
הֲדַ֥ר
hă·ḏar
הַכַּרְמֶ֖ל
hak·kar·mel
､ וְהַשָּׁר֑וֹן
wə·haš·šā·rō·wn;
and Sharon ､
הֵ֛מָּה
hêm·māh
יִרְא֥וּ
yir·’ū
כְבוֹד־
ḵə·ḇō·wḏ-
the glory
､ יְהוָ֖ה
Yah·weh
of Yahweh ､
הֲדַ֥ר
hă·ḏar
. אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
’ĕ·lō·hê·nū.
of our God .

ḥaz·zə·qū
､ יָדַ֣יִם
yā·ḏa·yim
the hands ､
רָפ֑וֹת
rā·p̄ō·wṯ;
וּבִרְכַּ֥יִם
ū·ḇir·ka·yim
and the knees
כֹּשְׁל֖וֹת
kō·šə·lō·wṯ
. אַמֵּֽצוּ׃
’am·mê·ṣū.

אִמְרוּ֙
’im·rū
לְנִמְהֲרֵי־
lə·nim·hă·rê-
to
､ לֵ֔ב
lêḇ,
､ חִזְק֖וּ
ḥiz·qū
Be strong ､
– אַל־
’al-
not –
תִּירָ֑אוּ
tî·rā·’ū;
do fear
､ הִנֵּ֤ה
hin·nêh
behold ､
אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙
’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem
､ נָקָ֣ם
nā·qām
[with] vengeance ､
יָב֔וֹא
yā·ḇō·w,
will come
– גְּמ֣וּל
gə·mūl
[with] the recompense –
אֱלֹהִ֔ים
’ĕ·lō·hîm,
of God
ה֥וּא
hū
He
יָב֖וֹא
yā·ḇō·w
will come
. וְיֹשַׁעֲכֶֽם׃
wə·yō·ša·‘ă·ḵem.
and save you .

אָ֥ז
’āz
､ תִּפָּקַ֖חְנָה
tip·pā·qaḥ·nāh
shall be opened ､
עֵינֵ֣י
‘ê·nê
the eyes
עִוְרִ֑ים
‘iw·rîm;
of the blind
וְאָזְנֵ֥י
wə·’ā·zə·nê
and the ears
חֵרְשִׁ֖ים
ḥê·rə·šîm
of the deaf
. תִּפָּתַֽחְנָה׃
tip·pā·ṯaḥ·nāh.

אָ֣ז
’āz
יְדַלֵּ֤ג
yə·ḏal·lêḡ
､ כָּֽאַיָּל֙
kā·’ay·yāl
like a deer ､
פִּסֵּ֔חַ
pis·sê·aḥ,
the lame
– וְתָרֹ֖ן
wə·ṯā·rōn
and sing –
לְשׁ֣וֹן
lə·šō·wn
the tongue
אִלֵּ֑ם
’il·lêm;
of the mute
כִּֽי־
kî-
､ נִבְקְע֤וּ
niḇ·qə·‘ū
בַמִּדְבָּר֙
ḇam·miḏ·bār
in the wilderness
מַ֔יִם
ma·yim,
וּנְחָלִ֖ים
ū·nə·ḥā·lîm
. בָּעֲרָבָֽה׃
bā·‘ă·rā·ḇāh.
in the desert .

וְהָיָ֤ה
wə·hā·yāh
הַשָּׁרָב֙
haš·šā·rāḇ
､ לַאֲגַ֔ם
la·’ă·ḡam,
a pool ､
וְצִמָּא֖וֹן
wə·ṣim·mā·’ō·wn
and the thirsty land
לְמַבּ֣וּעֵי
lə·mab·bū·‘ê
– מָ֑יִם
mā·yim;
of water –
בִּנְוֵ֤ה
bin·wêh
in the habitation
תַנִּים֙
ṯan·nîm
､ רִבְצָ֔הּ
riḇ·ṣāh,
חָצִ֖יר
ḥā·ṣîr
לְקָנֶ֥ה
lə·qā·neh
with reeds
. וָגֹֽמֶא׃
wā·ḡō·me.
and rushes .

וְהָיָה־
wə·hā·yāh-
And shall be
､ שָׁ֞ם
šām
there ､
מַסְל֣וּל
mas·lūl
､ וָדֶ֗רֶךְ
wā·ḏe·reḵ,
and a road ､
וְדֶ֤רֶךְ
wə·ḏe·reḵ
and the Highway
– הַקֹּ֙דֶשׁ֙
haq·qō·ḏeš
of Holiness –
יִקָּ֣רֵא
yiq·qā·rê
לָ֔הּ
lāh,
it
לֹֽא־
lō-
not
יַעַבְרֶ֥נּוּ
ya·‘aḇ·ren·nū
טָמֵ֖א
ṭā·mê
וְהוּא־
wə·hū-
but it [shall be]
לָ֑מוֹ
lā·mōw;
הֹלֵ֥ךְ
hō·lêḵ
､ דֶּ֛רֶךְ
de·reḵ
the road ､
､ וֶאֱוִילִ֖ים
we·’ĕ·wî·lîm
and although a fool ､
לֹ֥א
lō
not
. יִתְעֽוּ׃
yiṯ·‘ū.

לֹא־
lō-
יִהְיֶ֨ה
yih·yeh
､ שָׁ֜ם
šām
there ､
אַרְיֵ֗ה
’ar·yêh,
וּפְרִ֤יץ
ū·p̄ə·rîṣ
חַיּוֹת֙
ḥay·yō·wṯ
בַּֽל־
bal-
יַעֲלֶ֔נָּה
ya·‘ă·len·nāh,
shall go up on it
לֹ֥א
lō
not
תִמָּצֵ֖א
ṯim·mā·ṣê
it shall be found
– שָׁ֑ם
šām;
there –
וְהָלְכ֖וּ
wə·hā·lə·ḵū
. גְּאוּלִֽים׃
gə·’ū·lîm.
the redeemed .

וּפְדוּיֵ֨י
ū·p̄ə·ḏū·yê
And the ransomed
יְהוָ֜ה
Yah·weh
､ יְשֻׁב֗וּן
yə·šu·ḇūn,
וּבָ֤אוּ
ū·ḇā·’ū
and come
צִיּוֹן֙
ṣî·yō·wn
to Zion
בְּרִנָּ֔ה
bə·rin·nāh,
with singing
､ וְשִׂמְחַ֥ת
wə·śim·ḥaṯ
and with joy ､
עוֹלָ֖ם
‘ō·w·lām
עַל־
‘al-
on
. רֹאשָׁ֑ם
rō·šām;
שָׂשׂ֤וֹן
śā·śō·wn
וְשִׂמְחָה֙
wə·śim·ḥāh
יַשִּׂ֔יגוּ
yaś·śî·ḡū,
. וְנָ֖סוּ
wə·nā·sū
יָג֥וֹן
yā·ḡō·wn
. וַאֲנָחָֽה׃
wa·’ă·nā·ḥāh.
and sighing .
