A Remnant in Zion

וְהֶחֱזִיקוּ֩

wə·he·ḥĕ·zî·qū

And shall take hold

שֶׁ֨בַע

še·ḇa‘

נָשִׁ֜ים

nā·šîm

､ בְּאִ֣ישׁ

bə·’îš

of man ､

אֶחָ֗ד

’e·ḥāḏ,

בַּיּ֤וֹם

bay·yō·wm

in day

הַהוּא֙

ha·hū

､ לֵאמֹ֔ר

lê·mōr,

､ לַחְמֵ֣נוּ

laḥ·mê·nū

our own food ､

נֹאכֵ֔ל

nō·ḵêl,

we will eat

､ וְשִׂמְלָתֵ֖נוּ

wə·śim·lā·ṯê·nū

and our own apparel ､

נִלְבָּ֑שׁ

nil·bāš;

רַ֗ק

raq,

יִקָּרֵ֤א

yiq·qā·rê

､ שִׁמְךָ֙

šim·ḵā

by your name ､

עָלֵ֔ינוּ

‘ā·lê·nū,

us

אֱסֹ֖ף

’ĕ·sōp̄

. חֶרְפָּתֵֽנוּ׃

ḥer·pā·ṯê·nū.

בַּיּ֣וֹם

bay·yō·wm

In day

הַה֗וּא

ha·hū,

יִֽהְיֶה֙

yih·yeh

צֶ֣מַח

ṣe·maḥ

יְהוָ֔ה

Yah·weh,

לִצְבִ֖י

liṣ·ḇî

､ וּלְכָב֑וֹד

ū·lə·ḵā·ḇō·wḏ;

and glorious ､

וּפְרִ֤י

ū·p̄ə·rî

and the fruit

הָאָ֙רֶץ֙

hā·’ā·reṣ

of the earth

לְגָא֣וֹן

lə·ḡā·’ō·wn

[shall be] excellent

וּלְתִפְאֶ֔רֶת

ū·lə·ṯip̄·’e·reṯ,

לִפְלֵיטַ֖ת

lip̄·lê·ṭaṯ

for those who have escaped

. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

yiś·rā·’êl.

､ וְהָיָ֣ה ׀

wə·hā·yāh

And it shall come to pass ､

הַנִּשְׁאָ֣ר

han·niš·’ār

that [he who is] left

､ בְּצִיּ֗וֹן

bə·ṣî·yō·wn,

in Zion ､

וְהַנּוֹתָר֙

wə·han·nō·w·ṯār

､ בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

bî·rū·šā·lim,

in Jerusalem ､

､ קָד֖וֹשׁ

qā·ḏō·wōš

holy ､

יֵאָ֣מֶר

yê·’ā·mer

will be called

ל֑וֹ

lōw;

to

כָּל־

kāl-

הַכָּת֥וּב

hak·kā·ṯūḇ

who is recorded

לַחַיִּ֖ים

la·ḥay·yîm

among the living

. בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

bî·rū·šā·lim.

אִ֣ם ׀

’im

רָחַ֣ץ

rā·ḥaṣ

has washed away

אֲדֹנָ֗י

’ă·ḏō·nāy,

the Lord

אֵ֚ת

’êṯ

-

צֹאַ֣ת

ṣō·’aṯ

בְּנוֹת־

bə·nō·wṯ-

of the daughters

､ צִיּ֔וֹן

ṣî·yō·wn,

of Zion ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

דְּמֵ֥י

də·mê

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם

yə·rū·šā·lim

יָדִ֣יחַ

yā·ḏî·aḥ

מִקִּרְבָּ֑הּ

miq·qir·bāh;

בְּר֥וּחַ

bə·rū·aḥ

by the spirit

､ מִשְׁפָּ֖ט

miš·pāṭ

of judgment ､

וּבְר֥וּחַ

ū·ḇə·rū·aḥ

and by the spirit

. בָּעֵֽר׃

bā·‘êr.

וּבָרָ֣א

ū·ḇā·rā

Then will create

יְהוָ֡ה

Yah·weh

עַל֩

‘al

כָּל־

kāl-

מְכ֨וֹן

mə·ḵō·wn

הַר־

har-

､ צִיּ֜וֹן

ṣî·yō·wn

Zion ､

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

､ מִקְרָאֶ֗הָ

miq·rā·’e·hā,

her assemblies ､

עָנָ֤ן ׀

‘ā·nān

､ יוֹמָם֙

yō·w·mām

by day ､

וְעָשָׁ֔ן

wə·‘ā·šān,

וְנֹ֛גַהּ

wə·nō·ḡah

and the shining

אֵ֥שׁ

’êš

of a fire

לֶהָבָ֖ה

le·hā·ḇāh

– לָ֑יְלָה

lā·yə·lāh;

by night –

כִּ֥י

kî

עַל־

‘al-

כָּל־

kāl-

כָּב֖וֹד

kā·ḇō·wḏ

. חֻפָּֽה׃

ḥup·pāh.

there [will be] a covering .

וְסֻכָּ֛ה

wə·suk·kāh

And a tabernacle

תִּהְיֶ֥ה

tih·yeh

there will be

לְצֵל־

lə·ṣêl-

יוֹמָ֖ם

yō·w·mām

in the daytime

､ מֵחֹ֑רֶב

mê·ḥō·reḇ;

from the heat ､

､ וּלְמַחְסֶה֙

ū·lə·maḥ·seh

for a place of refuge ､

וּלְמִסְתּ֔וֹר

ū·lə·mis·tō·wr,

מִזֶּ֖רֶם

miz·ze·rem

. וּמִמָּטָֽר׃

ū·mim·mā·ṭār.

and rain .
