､ בְגָרוֹן֙
ḇə·ḡā·rō·wn
aloud ､
､ אַל־
’al-
not ､
תַּחְשֹׂ֔ךְ
taḥ·śōḵ,
､ כַּשּׁוֹפָ֖ר
kaš·šō·w·p̄ār
הָרֵ֣ם
hā·rêm
Lift up
קוֹלֶ֑ךָ
qō·w·le·ḵā;
וְהַגֵּ֤ד
wə·hag·gêḏ
and Tell
לְעַמִּי֙
lə·‘am·mî
､ פִּשְׁעָ֔ם
piš·‘ām,
וּלְבֵ֥ית
ū·lə·ḇêṯ
and the house
יַעֲקֹ֖ב
ya·‘ă·qōḇ
. חַטֹּאתָֽם׃
ḥaṭ·ṭō·ṯām.

וְאוֹתִ֗י
wə·’ō·w·ṯî,
And yet Me
י֥וֹם
yō·wm
､ יוֹם֙
yō·wm
by day ､
יִדְרֹשׁ֔וּן
yiḏ·rō·šūn,
וְדַ֥עַת
wə·ḏa·‘aṯ
and to know
､ דְּרָכַ֖י
də·rā·ḵay
My ways ､
יֶחְפָּצ֑וּן
yeḥ·pā·ṣūn;
כְּג֞וֹי
kə·ḡō·w
as a nation
אֲשֶׁר־
’ă·šer-
､ צְדָקָ֣ה
ṣə·ḏā·qāh
עָשָׂ֗ה
‘ā·śāh,
וּמִשְׁפַּ֤ט
ū·miš·paṭ
and the ordinance
. אֱלֹהָיו֙
’ĕ·lō·hāw
of their God .

עָזָ֔ב
‘ā·zāḇ,
יִשְׁאָל֙וּנִי֙
yiš·’ā·lū·nî
they ask of Me
מִשְׁפְּטֵי־
miš·pə·ṭê-
– צֶ֔דֶק
ṣe·ḏeq,
of justice –
קִרְבַ֥ת
qir·ḇaṯ
אֱלֹהִ֖ים
’ĕ·lō·hîm
. יֶחְפָּצֽוּן׃
yeḥ·pā·ṣūn.

לָ֤מָּה
lām·māh
､ צַּ֙מְנוּ֙
ṣam·nū
have we fasted [they say] ､
؟ וְלֹ֣א
wə·lō
and not ؟
רָאִ֔יתָ
rā·’î·ṯā,
עִנִּ֥ינוּ
‘in·nî·nū
､ נַפְשֵׁ֖נוּ
nap̄·šê·nū
וְלֹ֣א
wə·lō
and no
؟ תֵדָ֑ע
ṯê·ḏā‘;
､ הֵ֣ן
hên
in fact ､
בְּי֤וֹם
bə·yō·wm
in the day
צֹֽמְכֶם֙
ṣō·mə·ḵem
תִּמְצְאוּ־
tim·ṣə·’ū-
､ חֵ֔פֶץ
ḥê·p̄eṣ,
וְכָל־
wə·ḵāl
and all
עַצְּבֵיכֶ֖ם
‘aṣ·ṣə·ḇê·ḵem
. תִּנְגֹּֽשׂוּ׃
tin·gō·śū.

､ הֵ֣ן
hên
Indeed ､
לְרִ֤יב
lə·rîḇ
､ וּמַצָּה֙
ū·maṣ·ṣāh
and debate ､
תָּצ֔וּמוּ
tā·ṣū·mū,
וּלְהַכּ֖וֹת
ū·lə·hak·kō·wṯ
and to strike
בְּאֶגְרֹ֣ף
bə·’eḡ·rōp̄
with the fist
– רֶ֑שַׁע
re·ša‘;
of wickedness –
לֹא־
lō-
not
תָצ֣וּמוּ
ṯā·ṣū·mū
You will fast
､ כַיּ֔וֹם
ḵay·yō·wm,
as [you do] this day ､
לְהַשְׁמִ֥יעַ
lə·haš·mî·a‘
בַּמָּר֖וֹם
bam·mā·rō·wm
on high
. קוֹלְכֶֽם׃
qō·wl·ḵem.

הֲכָזֶ֗ה
hă·ḵā·zeh,
יִֽהְיֶה֙
yih·yeh
is it
צ֣וֹם
ṣō·wm
؟ אֶבְחָרֵ֔הוּ
’eḇ·ḥā·rê·hū,
י֛וֹם
yō·wm
a day
עַנּ֥וֹת
‘an·nō·wṯ
אָדָ֖ם
’ā·ḏām
؟ נַפְשׁ֑וֹ
nap̄·šōw;
הֲלָכֹ֨ף
hă·lā·ḵōp̄
[is it] to bow down
､ כְּאַגְמֹ֜ן
kə·’aḡ·mōn
רֹאשׁ֗וֹ
rō·šōw,
וְשַׂ֤ק
wə·śaq
וָאֵ֙פֶר֙
wā·’ê·p̄er
and ashes
יַצִּ֔יעַ
yaṣ·ṣî·a‘,
הֲלָזֶה֙
hă·lā·zeh
תִּקְרָא־
tiq·rā-
､ צ֔וֹם
ṣō·wm,
a fast ､
וְי֥וֹם
wə·yō·wm
and day
רָצ֖וֹן
rā·ṣō·wn
؟ לַיהוָֽה׃
Yah·weh.
to Yahweh ؟

the fast
؟ אֶבְחָרֵהוּ֒
’eḇ·ḥā·rê·hū
פַּתֵּ֙חַ֙
pat·tê·aḥ
חַרְצֻבּ֣וֹת
ḥar·ṣub·bō·wṯ
the bonds
､ רֶ֔שַׁע
re·ša‘,
of wickedness ､
הַתֵּ֖ר
hat·têr
to undo
､ אֲגֻדּ֣וֹת
’ă·ḡud·dō·wṯ
the burdens ､
מוֹטָ֑ה
mō·w·ṭāh;
וְשַׁלַּ֤ח
wə·šal·laḥ
and to let go
רְצוּצִים֙
rə·ṣū·ṣîm
､ חָפְשִׁ֔ים
ḥā·p̄ə·šîm,
free ､
וְכָל־
wə·ḵāl
and every
מוֹטָ֖ה
mō·w·ṭāh
؟ תְּנַתֵּֽקוּ׃
tə·nat·tê·qū.

הֲל֨וֹא
hă·lō·w
[is it] not
פָרֹ֤ס
p̄ā·rōs
､ לָֽרָעֵב֙
lā·rā·‘êḇ
with the hungry ､
לַחְמֶ֔ךָ
laḥ·me·ḵā,
וַעֲנִיִּ֥ים
wa·‘ă·nî·yîm
and the poor
מְרוּדִ֖ים
mə·rū·ḏîm
תָּ֣בִיא
tā·ḇî
؟ בָ֑יִת
ḇā·yiṯ;
to your house ؟
כִּֽי־
kî-
תִרְאֶ֤ה
ṯir·’eh
､ עָרֹם֙
‘ā·rōm
the naked ､
וְכִסִּית֔וֹ
wə·ḵis·sî·ṯōw,
؟ וּמִבְּשָׂרְךָ֖
ū·mib·bə·śā·rə·ḵā
לֹ֥א
lō
not
. תִתְעַלָּֽם׃
ṯiṯ·‘al·lām.

אָ֣ז
’āz
יִבָּקַ֤ע
yib·bā·qa‘
､ כַּשַּׁ֙חַר֙
kaš·ša·ḥar
like the morning ､
אוֹרֶ֔ךָ
’ō·w·re·ḵā,
וַאֲרֻכָתְךָ֖
wa·’ă·ru·ḵā·ṯə·ḵā
– מְהֵרָ֣ה
mə·hê·rāh
תִצְמָ֑ח
ṯiṣ·māḥ;
וְהָלַ֤ךְ
wə·hā·laḵ
and shall go
לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙
lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā
צִדְקֶ֔ךָ
ṣiḏ·qe·ḵā,
כְּב֥וֹד
kə·ḇō·wḏ
the glory
יְהוָ֖ה
Yah·weh
. יַאַסְפֶֽךָ׃
ya·’as·p̄e·ḵā.

אָ֤ז
’āz
､ תִּקְרָא֙
tiq·rā
וַיהוָ֣ה
Yah·weh
and Yahweh
– יַעֲנֶ֔ה
ya·‘ă·neh,
will answer –
､ תְּשַׁוַּ֖ע
tə·šaw·wa‘
､ וְיֹאמַ֣ר
wə·yō·mar
and He will say ､
הִנֵּ֑נִי
hin·nê·nî;
Here I [am]
אִם־
’im-
if
תָּסִ֤יר
tā·sîr
מִתּֽוֹכְךָ֙
mit·tō·wḵ·ḵā
､ מוֹטָ֔ה
mō·w·ṭāh,
the yoke ､
שְׁלַ֥ח
šə·laḥ
､ אֶצְבַּ֖ע
’eṣ·ba‘
of finger ､
וְדַבֶּר־
wə·ḏab·ber-
– אָֽוֶן׃
’ā·wen.
10
וְתָפֵ֤ק
wə·ṯā·p̄êq
and [If] you extend
､ לָֽרָעֵב֙
lā·rā·‘êḇ
to the hungry ､
נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָ
nap̄·še·ḵā,
– וְנֶ֥פֶשׁ
wə·ne·p̄eš
and the soul –
נַעֲנָ֖ה
na·‘ă·nāh
תַּשְׂבִּ֑יעַ
taś·bî·a‘;
וְזָרַ֤ח
wə·zā·raḥ
､ בַּחֹ֙שֶׁךְ֙
ba·ḥō·šeḵ
in the darkness ､
אוֹרֶ֔ךָ
’ō·w·re·ḵā,
וַאֲפֵלָתְךָ֖
wa·’ă·p̄ê·lā·ṯə·ḵā
. כַּֽצָּהֳרָֽיִם׃
kaṣ·ṣā·ho·rā·yim.
as the noonday .

וְנָחֲךָ֣
wə·nā·ḥă·ḵā
And will guide you
יְהוָה֮
Yah·weh
､ תָּמִיד֒
tā·mîḏ
וְהִשְׂבִּ֤יעַ
wə·hiś·bî·a‘
､ בְּצַחְצָחוֹת֙
bə·ṣaḥ·ṣā·ḥō·wṯ
in drought ､
נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָ
nap̄·še·ḵā,
– וְעַצְמֹתֶ֖יךָ
wə·‘aṣ·mō·ṯe·ḵā
and your bones –
יַחֲלִ֑יץ
ya·ḥă·lîṣ;
וְהָיִ֙יתָ֙
wə·hā·yî·ṯā
and You shall be
､ כְּגַ֣ן
kə·ḡan
like a garden ､
רָוֶ֔ה
rā·weh,
וּכְמוֹצָ֣א
ū·ḵə·mō·w·ṣā
and like a spring
､ מַ֔יִם
ma·yim,
of water ､
אֲשֶׁ֥ר
’ă·šer
לֹא־
lō-
not
יְכַזְּב֖וּ
yə·ḵaz·zə·ḇū
do fail
. מֵימָֽיו׃
mê·māw.

וּבָנ֤וּ
ū·ḇā·nū
מִמְּךָ֙
mim·mə·ḵā
– חָרְב֣וֹת
ḥā·rə·ḇō·wṯ
the waste places –
עוֹלָ֔ם
‘ō·w·lām,
מוֹסְדֵ֥י
mō·ws·ḏê
דוֹר־
ḏō·wr-
of
– וָד֖וֹר
wā·ḏō·wr
תְּקוֹמֵ֑ם
tə·qō·w·mêm;
､ וְקֹרָ֤א
wə·qō·rā
and shall be called ､
לְךָ֙
lə·ḵā
גֹּדֵ֣ר
gō·ḏêr
､ פֶּ֔רֶץ
pe·reṣ,
of the Breach ､
מְשֹׁבֵ֥ב
mə·šō·ḇêḇ
נְתִיב֖וֹת
nə·ṯî·ḇō·wṯ
. לָשָֽׁבֶת׃
lā·šā·ḇeṯ.
to Dwell in .

אִם־
’im-
If
תָּשִׁ֤יב
tā·šîḇ
､ מִשַּׁבָּת֙
miš·šab·bāṯ
from the Sabbath ､
רַגְלֶ֔ךָ
raḡ·le·ḵā,
עֲשׂ֥וֹת
‘ă·śō·wṯ
חֲפָצֶ֖יךָ
ḥă·p̄ā·ṣe·ḵā
– בְּי֣וֹם
bə·yō·wm
on day –
קָדְשִׁ֑י
qāḏ·šî
My holy
וְקָרָ֨אתָ
wə·qā·rā·ṯā
and call
לַשַּׁבָּ֜ת
laš·šab·bāṯ
､ עֹ֗נֶג
‘ō·neḡ,
a delight ､
לִקְד֤וֹשׁ
liq·ḏō·wōš
the holy [day]
､ יְהוָה֙
Yah·weh
of Yahweh ､
– מְכֻבָּ֔ד
mə·ḵub·bāḏ,
וְכִבַּדְתּוֹ֙
wə·ḵib·baḏ·tōw
מֵעֲשׂ֣וֹת
mê·‘ă·śō·wṯ
not doing
､ דְּרָכֶ֔יךָ
də·rā·ḵe·ḵā,
מִמְּצ֥וֹא
mim·mə·ṣō·w
､ חֶפְצְךָ֖
ḥep̄·ṣə·ḵā
וְדַבֵּ֥ר
wə·ḏab·bêr
､ דָּבָֽר׃
dā·ḇār.

אָ֗ז
’āz,
תִּתְעַנַּג֙
tiṯ·‘an·naḡ
עַל־
‘al-
in
– יְהוָ֔ה
Yah·weh,
Yahweh –
וְהִרְכַּבְתִּ֖יךָ
wə·hir·kaḇ·tî·ḵā
and I will cause you to ride
עַל־
‘al-
on
בָּ֣מֳותֵי‪‬‪‬
bā·mō·w·ṯê
-
､ אָ֑רֶץ
’ā·reṣ;
the earth ､
וְהַאֲכַלְתִּ֗יךָ
wə·ha·’ă·ḵal·tî·ḵā,
and feed you
נַחֲלַת֙
na·ḥă·laṯ
with the heritage
יַעֲקֹ֣ב
ya·‘ă·qōḇ
､ אָבִ֔יךָ
’ā·ḇî·ḵā,
כִּ֛י
kî
פִּ֥י
pî
the mouth
יְהוָ֖ה
Yah·weh
. דִּבֵּֽר׃
