מֶ֣לֶךְ

､ יְהוּדָ֑ה

of Judah ､

בִּשְׁלֹשׁ־

עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה

‘eś·rêh

[and] ten

שָׁנָ֖ה

šā·nāh

the year

. לְמָלְכֽוֹ׃

lə·mā·lə·ḵōw.

וַיְהִ֗י

way·hî,

And it came

בִּימֵ֨י

bî·mê

in the days

יְהוֹיָקִ֤ים

yə·hō·w·yā·qîm

בֶּן־

ben-

יֹאשִׁיָּ֙הוּ֙

yō·šî·yā·hū

מֶ֣לֶךְ

me·leḵ

､ יְהוּדָ֔ה

yə·hū·ḏāh,

of Judah ､

עַד־

‘aḏ-

תֹּם֙

tōm

the end

עַשְׁתֵּ֣י

‘aš·tê

of one

עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה

‘eś·rêh

[and] ten

שָׁנָ֔ה

šā·nāh,

the year

לְצִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ

lə·ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū

בֶן־

ḇen-

יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ

yō·šî·yā·hū

מֶ֣לֶךְ

me·leḵ

､ יְהוּדָ֑ה

yə·hū·ḏāh;

of Judah ､

עַד־

‘aḏ-

גְּל֥וֹת

gə·lō·wṯ

the carrying away captive

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם

yə·rū·šā·lim

בַּחֹ֥דֶשׁ

ba·ḥō·ḏeš

. הַחֲמִישִֽׁי׃

ha·ḥă·mî·šî.

וַיְהִ֥י

And came

דְבַר־

ḏə·ḇar-

the word

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

אֵלַ֥י

’ê·lay

to me

､ לֵאמֹֽר׃

lê·mōr.

בְּטֶ֨רֶם

bə·ṭe·rem

[אצורך]

’eṣ·ṣō·wr·ḵā

-

(אֶצָּרְךָ֤)

’eṣ·ṣā·rə·ḵā

בַבֶּ֙טֶן֙

ḇab·be·ṭen

in the womb

יְדַעְתִּ֔יךָ

yə·ḏa‘·tî·ḵā,

וּבְטֶ֛רֶם

ū·ḇə·ṭe·rem

תֵּצֵ֥א

tê·ṣê

מֵרֶ֖חֶם

mê·re·ḥem

הִקְדַּשְׁתִּ֑יךָ

hiq·daš·tî·ḵā;

I sanctified you

נָבִ֥יא

nā·ḇî

לַגּוֹיִ֖ם

lag·gō·w·yim

to the nations

. נְתַתִּֽיךָ׃

nə·ṯat·tî·ḵā.

I ordained you .

וָאֹמַ֗ר

wā·’ō·mar,

And said I

､ אֲהָהּ֙

’ă·hāh

Ah ､

אֲדֹנָ֣י

’ă·ḏō·nāy

! יְהֹוִ֔ה

Yah·weh,

､ הִנֵּ֥ה

hin·nêh

לֹא־

lō-

יָדַ֖עְתִּי

yā·ḏa‘·tî

I

､ דַּבֵּ֑ר‪‬

dab·bêr;

כִּי־

kî-

נַ֖עַר

na·‘ar

. אָנֹֽכִי׃

’ā·nō·ḵî.

I [am] .

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר

way·yō·mer

But said

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

אֵלַ֔י

’ê·lay,

to me

､ אַל־

’al-

not ､

תֹּאמַ֖ר

tō·mar

do say

– נַ֣עַר

na·‘ar

a youth –

אָנֹ֑כִי

’ā·nō·ḵî;

I [am]

כִּ֠י

kî

עַֽל־

‘al-

to

כָּל־

kāl-

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

’ă·šer

אֶֽשְׁלָחֲךָ֙

’eš·lā·ḥă·ḵā

I shall send you

תֵּלֵ֔ךְ

tê·lêḵ,

וְאֵ֛ת

wə·’êṯ

and

כָּל־

kāl-

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

אֲצַוְּךָ֖

’ă·ṣaw·wə·ḵā

. תְּדַבֵּֽר׃

tə·ḏab·bêr.

אַל־

’al-

Not

תִּירָ֖א

tî·rā

do be afraid

– מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם

mip·pə·nê·hem;

of their faces –

כִּֽי־

kî-

אִתְּךָ֥

’it·tə·ḵā

with you

אֲנִ֛י

’ă·nî

I [am]

לְהַצִּלֶ֖ךָ

lə·haṣ·ṣi·le·ḵā

נְאֻם־

nə·’um-

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח

way·yiš·laḥ

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ יָד֔וֹ

yā·ḏōw,

וַיַּגַּ֖ע

way·yag·ga‘

עַל־

‘al-

on

. פִּ֑י

pî;

my mouth .

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And said

יְהוָה֙

Yah·weh

אֵלַ֔י

’ê·lay,

to me

､ הִנֵּ֛ה

hin·nêh

נָתַ֥תִּי

nā·ṯat·tî

דְבָרַ֖י

ḏə·ḇā·ray

. בְּפִֽיךָ׃

bə·p̄î·ḵā.

in your mouth .

､ רְאֵ֞ה

rə·’êh

See ､

הִפְקַדְתִּ֣יךָ ׀

hip̄·qaḏ·tî·ḵā

הַיּ֣וֹם

hay·yō·wm

הַזֶּ֗ה

haz·zeh,

עַל־

‘al-

הַגּוֹיִם֙

hag·gō·w·yim

וְעַל־

wə·‘al-

and over

､ הַמַּמְלָכ֔וֹת

ham·mam·lā·ḵō·wṯ,

the kingdoms ､

､ לִנְת֥וֹשׁ

lin·ṯō·wōš

to root out ､

､ וְלִנְת֖וֹץ

wə·lin·ṯō·wṣ

and to pull down ､

､ וּלְהַאֲבִ֣יד

ū·lə·ha·’ă·ḇîḏ

and to destroy ､

､ וְלַהֲר֑וֹס

wə·la·hă·rō·ws;

and to throw down ､

､ לִבְנ֖וֹת

liḇ·nō·wṯ

to build ､

. וְלִנְטֽוֹעַ׃

wə·lin·ṭō·w·a‘.

and to plant .

the word

אֵלַ֣י

to me

､ לֵאמֹ֔ר

lê·mōr,

מָה־

māh-

؟ אַתָּ֥ה

’at·tāh

you ؟

רֹאֶ֖ה

rō·’eh

do see

､ יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ

yir·mə·yā·hū;

､ וָאֹמַ֕ר

wā·’ō·mar

and I said ､

מַקֵּ֥ל

maq·qêl

שָׁקֵ֖ד

šā·qêḏ

of an almond tree

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I

. רֹאֶֽה׃

rō·’eh.

וַיֹּ֧אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And said

יְהוָ֛ה

Yah·weh

אֵלַ֖י

’ê·lay

to me

הֵיטַ֣בְתָּ

hê·ṭaḇ·tā

– לִרְא֑וֹת

lir·’ō·wṯ;

seen –

כִּֽי־

kî-

שֹׁקֵ֥ד

šō·qêḏ

אֲנִ֛י

’ă·nî

I

עַל־

‘al-

דְּבָרִ֖י

də·ḇā·rî

. לַעֲשֹׂתֽוֹ׃

la·‘ă·śō·ṯōw.

וַיְהִ֨י

way·hî

And came

דְבַר־

ḏə·ḇar-

the word

יְהוָ֤ה ׀

Yah·weh

אֵלַי֙

’ê·lay

to me

､ שֵׁנִ֣ית

šê·nîṯ

the second [time] ､

､ לֵאמֹ֔ר

lê·mōr,

מָ֥ה

māh

؟ אַתָּ֖ה

’at·tāh

you ؟

רֹאֶ֑ה

rō·’eh;

do see

､ וָאֹמַ֗ר

wā·’ō·mar,

and I said ､

– סִ֤יר

sîr

a pot –

נָפ֙וּחַ֙

nā·p̄ū·aḥ

אֲנִ֣י

’ă·nî

I

רֹאֶ֔ה

rō·’eh,

וּפָנָ֖יו

ū·p̄ā·nāw

and it is facing

מִפְּנֵ֥י

mip·pə·nê

. צָפֽוֹנָה׃

ṣā·p̄ō·w·nāh.

the north .

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר

way·yō·mer

And said

יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

אֵלָ֑י

’ê·lāy;

to me

מִצָּפוֹן֙

miṣ·ṣā·p̄ō·wn

Out of the north

תִּפָּתַ֣ח

tip·pā·ṯaḥ

shall break forth

הָרָעָ֔ה

hā·rā·‘āh,

עַ֥ל

‘al

On

כָּל־

kāl-

יֹשְׁבֵ֖י

yō·šə·ḇê

the inhabitants

. הָאָֽרֶץ׃

hā·’ā·reṣ.

of the land .

､ כִּ֣י ׀

kî

For ､

הִנְנִ֣י

hin·nî

קֹרֵ֗א

qō·rê,

לְכָֽל־

lə·ḵāl

מִשְׁפְּח֛וֹת

miš·pə·ḥō·wṯ

מַמְלְכ֥וֹת

mam·lə·ḵō·wṯ

of the kingdoms

､ צָפ֖וֹנָה

ṣā·p̄ō·w·nāh

of the north ､

נְאֻם־

nə·’um-

– יְהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

､ וּבָ֡אוּ

ū·ḇā·’ū

and they shall come ､

וְֽנָתְנוּ֩

wə·nā·ṯə·nū

and set

אִ֨ישׁ

’îš

כִּסְא֜וֹ

kis·’ōw

פֶּ֣תַח ׀

pe·ṯaḥ

at the entrance

שַׁעֲרֵ֣י

ša·‘ă·rê

of the gates

､ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם

yə·rū·šā·lim,

of Jerusalem ､

וְעַ֤ל

wə·‘al

כָּל־

kāl-

חוֹמֹתֶ֙יהָ֙

ḥō·w·mō·ṯe·hā

､ סָבִ֔יב

sā·ḇîḇ,

וְעַ֖ל

wə·‘al

כָּל־

kāl-

עָרֵ֥י

‘ā·rê

. יְהוּדָֽה׃

yə·hū·ḏāh.

of Judah .

וְדִבַּרְתִּ֤י

wə·ḏib·bar·tî

And I will utter

מִשְׁפָּטַי֙

miš·pā·ṭay

אוֹתָ֔ם

’ō·w·ṯām,

עַ֖ל

‘al

כָּל־

kāl-

､ רָעָתָ֑ם

rā·‘ā·ṯām;

their wickedness ､

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

עֲזָב֗וּנִי

‘ă·zā·ḇū·nî,

they have forsaken Me

וַֽיְקַטְּרוּ֙

way·qaṭ·ṭə·rū

and Burned incense

､ לֵאלֹהִ֣ים

lê·lō·hîm

to gods ､

אֲחֵרִ֔ים

’ă·ḥê·rîm,

וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּ

way·yiš·ta·ḥă·wū

לְמַעֲשֵׂ֥י

lə·ma·‘ă·śê

. יְדֵיהֶֽם׃

yə·ḏê·hem.

of their own hands .

וְאַתָּה֙

wə·’at·tāh

תֶּאְזֹ֣ר

te’·zōr

､ מָתְנֶ֔יךָ

mā·ṯə·ne·ḵā,

､ וְקַמְתָּ֙

wə·qam·tā

and arise ､

וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣

wə·ḏib·bar·tā

אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם

’ă·lê·hem,

אֵ֛ת

’êṯ

-

כָּל־

kāl-

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

אָנֹכִ֖י

’ā·nō·ḵî

I

אֲצַוֶּ֑ךָּ

’ă·ṣaw·we·kā;

אַל־

’al-

not

תֵּחַת֙

tê·ḥaṯ

､ מִפְּנֵיהֶ֔ם

mip·pə·nê·hem,

before their faces ､

פֶּֽן־

pen-

אֲחִתְּךָ֖

’ă·ḥit·tə·ḵā

. לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃

lip̄·nê·hem.

､ וַאֲנִ֞י

wa·’ă·nî

For I ､

､ הִנֵּ֧ה

hin·nêh

נְתַתִּ֣יךָ

nə·ṯat·tî·ḵā

הַיּ֗וֹם

hay·yō·wm,

､ לְעִ֨יר

lə·‘îr

a city ､

מִבְצָ֜ר

miḇ·ṣār

､ וּלְעַמּ֥וּד

ū·lə·‘am·mūḏ

and pillar ､

בַּרְזֶ֛ל

bar·zel

וּלְחֹמ֥וֹת

ū·lə·ḥō·mō·wṯ

נְחֹ֖שֶׁת

nə·ḥō·šeṯ

עַל־

‘al-

כָּל־

kāl-

､ הָאָ֑רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ;

the land ､

לְמַלְכֵ֤י

lə·mal·ḵê

Against the kings

､ יְהוּדָה֙

yə·hū·ḏāh

of Judah ､

לְשָׂרֶ֔יהָ

lə·śā·re·hā,

Against its princes

לְכֹהֲנֶ֖יהָ

lə·ḵō·hă·ne·hā

Against its priests

וּלְעַ֥ם

ū·lə·‘am

and against the people

. הָאָֽרֶץ׃

hā·’ā·reṣ.

of the land .

וְנִלְחֲמ֥וּ

wə·nil·ḥă·mū

And they will fight

אֵלֶ֖יךָ

’ê·le·ḵā

וְלֹא־

wə·lō-

but not

י֣וּכְלוּ

yū·ḵə·lū

they shall prevail

לָ֑ךְ

lāḵ;

כִּֽי־

kî-

אִתְּךָ֥

’it·tə·ḵā

with you

אֲנִ֛י

’ă·nî

I [am]

נְאֻם־

nə·’um-

､ יְהוָ֖ה

Yah·weh

. לְהַצִּילֶֽךָ׃

lə·haṣ·ṣî·le·ḵā.

to deliver you .
