וַיִּשָּׁבַ֨ע
way·yiš·šā·ḇa‘
And took an oath
לָהֶ֜ם
lā·hem
גְּדַלְיָ֨הוּ
gə·ḏal·yā·hū
בֶן־
ḇen-
אֲחִיקָ֤ם
’ă·ḥî·qām
בֶּן־
ben-
the son
שָׁפָן֙
šā·p̄ān
､ וּלְאַנְשֵׁיהֶ֣ם
ū·lə·’an·šê·hem
and their men ､
､ לֵאמֹ֔ר
lê·mōr,
saying ､
אַל־
’al-
not
תִּֽירְא֖וּ
tî·rə·’ū
do be afraid
מֵעֲב֣וֹד
mê·‘ă·ḇō·wḏ
– הַכַּשְׂדִּ֑ים
hak·kaś·dîm;
the Chaldeans –
שְׁב֣וּ
šə·ḇū
､ בָאָ֗רֶץ
ḇā·’ā·reṣ,
in the land ､
וְעִבְד֛וּ
wə·‘iḇ·ḏū
and serve
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
מֶ֥לֶךְ
me·leḵ
the king
､ בָּבֶ֖ל
bā·ḇel
of Babylon ､
וְיִיטַ֥ב
wə·yî·ṭaḇ
and it shall be well
. לָכֶֽם׃
lā·ḵem.
with you .
