and at Tahpanhes ､

of Israel –

אַתֶּ֣ם

רְאִיתֶ֗ם

אֵ֤ת

כָּל־

kāl-

הָֽרָעָה֙

hā·rā·‘āh

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

’ă·šer

הֵבֵ֙אתִי֙

hê·ḇê·ṯî

עַל־

‘al-

on

､ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

yə·rū·šā·lim,

וְעַ֖ל

wə·‘al

and on

כָּל־

kāl-

עָרֵ֣י

‘ā·rê

– יְהוּדָ֑ה

yə·hū·ḏāh;

of Judah –

וְהִנָּ֤ם

wə·hin·nām

and behold they [are]

､ חָרְבָּה֙

ḥā·rə·bāh

a desolation ､

הַיּ֣וֹם

hay·yō·wm

הַזֶּ֔ה

haz·zeh,

וְאֵ֥ין

wə·’ên

and no one

בָּהֶ֖ם

bā·hem

. יוֹשֵֽׁב׃

yō·wō·šêḇ.

מִפְּנֵ֣י

mip·pə·nê

רָעָתָ֗ם

rā·‘ā·ṯām,

of their wickedness

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

’ă·šer

עָשׂוּ֙

‘ā·śū

they have committed

､ לְהַכְעִסֵ֔נִי

lə·haḵ·‘i·sê·nî,

to provoke Me to anger ､

לָלֶ֣כֶת

lā·le·ḵeṯ

in that they went

､ לְקַטֵּ֔ר

lə·qaṭ·ṭêr,

to burn incense ､

לַעֲבֹ֖ד

la·‘ă·ḇōḏ

[and] to serve

､ לֵאלֹהִ֣ים

lê·lō·hîm

gods ､

אֲחֵרִ֑ים

’ă·ḥê·rîm;

אֲשֶׁר֙

’ă·šer

､ לֹ֣א

lō

not ､

יְדָע֔וּם

yə·ḏā·‘ūm,

､ הֵ֖מָּה

hêm·māh

they ､

､ אַתֶּ֥ם

’at·tem

[nor] you ､

. וַאֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

wa·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem.

nor your fathers .

וָאֶשְׁלַ֤ח

wā·’eš·laḥ

And However I have sent

אֲלֵיכֶם֙

’ă·lê·ḵem

to you

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

כָּל־

kāl-

עֲבָדַ֣י

‘ă·ḇā·ḏay

､ הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים

han·nə·ḇî·’îm,

the prophets ､

הַשְׁכֵּ֥ים

haš·kêm

וְשָׁלֹ֖חַ

wə·šā·lō·aḥ

and sending [them]

､ לֵאמֹ֑ר

lê·mōr;

אַל־

’al-

do not

､ נָ֣א

nā

Oh ､

תַעֲשׂ֗וּ

ṯa·‘ă·śū,

do

אֵ֛ת

’êṯ

-

דְּבַֽר־

də·ḇar-

הַתֹּעֵבָ֥ה

hat·tō·‘ê·ḇāh

הַזֹּ֖את

haz·zōṯ

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

. שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃

śā·nê·ṯî.

I hate .

､ וְלֹ֤א

wə·lō

But not ､

שָֽׁמְעוּ֙

šā·mə·‘ū

they did listen

וְלֹא־

wə·lō-

or

הִטּ֣וּ

hiṭ·ṭū

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

אָזְנָ֔ם

’ā·zə·nām,

לָשׁ֖וּב

lā·šūḇ

､ מֵרָֽעָתָ֑ם

mê·rā·‘ā·ṯām;

from their wickedness ､

לְבִלְתִּ֥י

lə·ḇil·tî

to no

קַטֵּ֖ר

qaṭ·ṭêr

לֵאלֹהִ֥ים

lê·lō·hîm

. אֲחֵרִֽים׃

’ă·ḥê·rîm.

､ וַתִּתַּ֤ךְ

wat·tit·taḵ

So were poured out ､

חֲמָתִי֙

ḥă·mā·ṯî

וְאַפִּ֔י

wə·’ap·pî,

and My anger

וַתִּבְעַר֙

wat·tiḇ·‘ar

בְּעָרֵ֣י

bə·‘ā·rê

in the cities

יְהוּדָ֔ה

yə·hū·ḏāh,

וּבְחֻצ֖וֹת

ū·ḇə·ḥu·ṣō·wṯ

and in the streets

– יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

yə·rū·šā·lim;

of Jerusalem –

וַתִּהְיֶ֛ינָה

wat·tih·ye·nāh

לְחָרְבָּ֥ה

lə·ḥā·rə·bāh

､ לִשְׁמָמָ֖ה

liš·mā·māh

[and] desolate ､

כַּיּ֥וֹם

kay·yō·wm

as it is day

לְהַכְרִ֨ית

לָכֶ֧ם

lā·ḵem

אִישׁ־

’îš-

､ וְאִשָּׁ֛ה

wə·’iš·šāh

and woman ､

עוֹלֵ֥ל

‘ō·w·lêl

､ וְיוֹנֵ֖ק

wə·yō·w·nêq

and infant ､

מִתּ֣וֹךְ

mit·tō·wḵ

､ יְהוּדָ֑ה

yə·hū·ḏāh;

of Judah ､

לְבִלְתִּ֛י

lə·ḇil·tî

הוֹתִ֥יר

hō·w·ṯîr

לָכֶ֖ם

lā·ḵem

to

– שְׁאֵרִֽית׃

šə·’ê·rîṯ.

לְהַכְעִסֵ֙נִי֙

lə·haḵ·‘i·sê·nî

in that you provoke Me to wrath

בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣י

bə·ma·‘ă·śê

with the works

､ יְדֵיכֶ֔ם

yə·ḏê·ḵem,

of your hands ､

לְקַטֵּ֞ר

lə·qaṭ·ṭêr

burning incense

לֵאלֹהִ֤ים

lê·lō·hîm

אֲחֵרִים֙

’ă·ḥê·rîm

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

､ מִצְרַ֔יִם

miṣ·ra·yim,

of Egypt ､

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

אַתֶּ֥ם

’at·tem

בָּאִ֖ים

bā·’îm

､ לָג֣וּר

lā·ḡūr

to dwell ､

שָׁ֑ם

šām;

לְמַ֙עַן֙

lə·ma·‘an

､ הַכְרִ֣ית

haḵ·rîṯ

you may cut off ､

לָכֶ֔ם

lā·ḵem,

וּלְמַ֤עַן

ū·lə·ma·‘an

and

הֱיֽוֹתְכֶם֙

hĕ·yō·wṯ·ḵem

be

לִקְלָלָ֣ה

liq·lā·lāh

וּלְחֶרְפָּ֔ה

ū·lə·ḥer·pāh,

בְּכֹ֖ל

bə·ḵōl

גּוֹיֵ֥י

gō·w·yê

؟ הָאָֽרֶץ׃

hā·’ā·reṣ.

of the earth ؟

הַֽשְׁכַחְתֶּם֩

haš·ḵaḥ·tem

have you forgotten

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

רָע֨וֹת

rā·‘ō·wṯ

､ אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֜ם

’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem

of your fathers ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

רָע֣וֹת ׀

rā·‘ō·wṯ

מַלְכֵ֣י

mal·ḵê

of the kings

､ יְהוּדָ֗ה

yə·hū·ḏāh,

of Judah ､

וְאֵת֙

wə·’êṯ

and

רָע֣וֹת

rā·‘ō·wṯ

､ נָשָׁ֔יו

nā·šāw,

of their wives ､

וְאֵת֙

wə·’êṯ

and

､ רָעֹ֣תֵכֶ֔ם

rā·‘ō·ṯê·ḵem,

your own wickedness ､

וְאֵ֖ת

wə·’êṯ

and

רָעֹ֣ת

rā·‘ōṯ

､ נְשֵׁיכֶ֑ם

nə·šê·ḵem;

of your wives ､

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

’ă·šer

עָשׂוּ֙

‘ā·śū

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

､ יְהוּדָ֔ה

yə·hū·ḏāh,

of Judah ､

וּבְחֻצ֖וֹת

ū·ḇə·ḥu·ṣō·wṯ

and in the streets

؟ יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

yə·rū·šā·lim.

of Jerusalem ؟

דֻכְּא֔וּ

they have been humbled

עַ֖ד

‘aḏ

to

､ הַיּ֣וֹם

hay·yō·wm

day ､

הַזֶּ֑ה

haz·zeh;

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

､ יָרְא֗וּ

yā·rə·’ū,

have they feared ､

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

and not

הָלְכ֤וּ

hā·lə·ḵū

they have walked

､ בְתֽוֹרָתִי֙

ḇə·ṯō·w·rā·ṯî

in My law ､

､ וּבְחֻקֹּתַ֔י

ū·ḇə·ḥuq·qō·ṯay,

or in My statutes ､

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

נָתַ֥תִּי

nā·ṯat·tî

לִפְנֵיכֶ֖ם

lip̄·nê·ḵem

וְלִפְנֵ֥י

wə·lip̄·nê

and

. אֲבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

for cutting off

’eṯ-

yə·hū·ḏāh.

וְלָקַחְתִּ֞י

wə·lā·qaḥ·tî

And I will take

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

שְׁאֵרִ֣ית

šə·’ê·rîṯ

､ יְהוּדָ֗ה

yə·hū·ḏāh,

of Judah ､

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

שָׂ֨מוּ

śā·mū

פְנֵיהֶ֜ם

p̄ə·nê·hem

לָב֣וֹא

lā·ḇō·w

to go into

אֶֽרֶץ־

’e·reṣ-

the land

מִצְרַיִם֮

miṣ·ra·yim

לָג֣וּר

lā·ḡūr

､ שָׁם֒

šām

､ וְתַ֨מּוּ

wə·ṯam·mū

and they shall be consumed ､

כֹ֜ל

ḵōl

בְּאֶ֧רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

– מִצְרַ֣יִם

miṣ·ra·yim

of Egypt –

יִפֹּ֗לוּ

yip·pō·lū,

[and] fall

בַּחֶ֤רֶב

ba·ḥe·reḇ

by the sword

. בָּֽרָעָב֙

bā·rā·‘āḇ

[and] by famine .

יִתַּ֔מּוּ

yit·tam·mū,

They shall be consumed

מִקָּטֹן֙

miq·qā·ṭōn

וְעַד־

wə·‘aḏ-

and to

､ גָּד֔וֹל

gā·ḏō·wl,

the greatest ､

בַּחֶ֥רֶב

ba·ḥe·reḇ

by the sword

– וּבָרָעָ֖ב

ū·ḇā·rā·‘āḇ

and by famine –

､ יָמֻ֑תוּ

yā·mu·ṯū;

they shall die ､

וְהָיוּ֙

wə·hā·yū

and they shall be

､ לְאָלָ֣ה

lə·’ā·lāh

an oath ､

､ לְשַׁמָּ֔ה

lə·šam·māh,

an astonishment ､

､ וְלִקְלָלָ֖ה

wə·liq·lā·lāh

and a curse ､

. וּלְחֶרְפָּֽה׃

ū·lə·ḥer·pāh.

and a reproach .

וּפָקַדְתִּ֗י

ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî,

For I will punish

עַ֤ל

‘al

הַיּֽוֹשְׁבִים֙

hay·yō·wō·šə·ḇîm

those who dwell

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

in the land

､ מִצְרַ֔יִם

miṣ·ra·yim,

of Egypt ､

כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר

ka·’ă·šer

as

פָּקַ֖דְתִּי

pā·qaḏ·tî

I have punished

עַל־

‘al-

､ יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

yə·rū·šā·lim;

､ בַּחֶ֥רֶב

ba·ḥe·reḇ

by the sword ､

､ בָּרָעָ֖ב

bā·rā·‘āḇ

by famine ､

. וּבַדָּֽבֶר׃

ū·ḇad·dā·ḇer.

and by pestilence .

וְלֹ֨א

wə·lō

יִהְיֶ֜ה

yih·yeh

פָּלִ֤יט

pā·lîṭ

､ וְשָׂרִיד֙

wə·śā·rîḏ

or survive ､

לִשְׁאֵרִ֣ית

liš·’ê·rîṯ

of the remnant

､ יְהוּדָ֔ה

yə·hū·ḏāh,

of Judah ､

הַבָּאִ֥ים

hab·bā·’îm

לָגֽוּר־

lā·ḡūr-

､ שָׁ֖ם

šām

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

bə·’e·reṣ

מִצְרָ֑יִם

miṣ·rā·yim;

וְלָשׁ֣וּב ׀

wə·lā·šūḇ

and lest they return to

אֶ֣רֶץ

’e·reṣ

the land

､ יְהוּדָ֗ה

yə·hū·ḏāh,

of Judah ､

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

הֵ֜מָּה

מְנַשְּׂאִ֤ים

mə·naś·śə·’îm
