He took
､ סָרִ֨יס
sā·rîs
אֶחָ֜ד
’e·ḥāḏ
an
אֲ‍ֽשֶׁר־
’ăšer-
הָיָ֥ה
hā·yāh
פָקִ֣יד ׀
p̄ā·qîḏ
עַל־
‘al-
of
אַנְשֵׁ֣י
’an·šê
– הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה
ham·mil·ḥā·māh,
of the war –
וְשִׁבְעָ֨ה
wə·šiḇ·‘āh
and seven
אֲנָשִׁ֜ים
’ă·nā·šîm
מֵרֹאֵ֤י
mê·rō·’ê
､ פְנֵי־
p̄ə·nê-
person ､
הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙
ham·me·leḵ
of the king
אֲשֶׁ֣ר
’ă·šer
נִמְצְא֣וּ
nim·ṣə·’ū
– בָעִ֔יר
ḇā·‘îr,
in the city –
וְאֵ֗ת
wə·’êṯ,
and
סֹפֵר֙
sō·p̄êr
the scribe
שַׂ֣ר
śar
､ הַצָּבָ֔א
haṣ·ṣā·ḇā,
the army ､
הַמַּצְבִּ֖א
ham·maṣ·bi
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
עַ֣ם
‘am
the people
– הָאָ֑רֶץ
hā·’ā·reṣ;
of the land –
וְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים
wə·šiš·šîm
and sixty
אִישׁ֙
’îš
מֵעַ֣ם
mê·‘am
of the people
､ הָאָ֔רֶץ
hā·’ā·reṣ,
of the land ､
הַֽנִּמְצְאִ֖ים
han·nim·ṣə·’îm
בְּת֥וֹךְ
bə·ṯō·wḵ
in the midst
. הָעִֽיר׃
hā·‘îr.
of the city .
