וַתִּצְלַ֨ח
wat·tiṣ·laḥ
עָלָ֜יו
‘ā·lāw
ר֣וּחַ
rū·aḥ
the Spirit
יְהוָ֗ה
Yah·weh
וַיֵּ֨רֶד
way·yê·reḏ
and he went down
､ אַשְׁקְל֜וֹן
’aš·qə·lō·wn
to Ashkelon ､
וַיַּ֥ךְ
way·yaḵ
and killed
מֵהֶ֣ם ׀
mê·hem
שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים
šə·lō·šîm
אִ֗ישׁ
’îš,
וַיִּקַּח֙
way·yiq·qaḥ
and took
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
､ חֲלִ֣יצוֹתָ֔ם
ḥă·lî·ṣō·w·ṯām,
וַיִּתֵּן֙
way·yit·tên
and gave
הַחֲלִיפ֔וֹת
ha·ḥă·lî·p̄ō·wṯ,
the changes [of clothing]
לְמַגִּידֵ֖י
lə·mag·gî·ḏê
. הַחִידָ֑ה
ha·ḥî·ḏāh;
the riddle .
､ וַיִּ֣חַר
way·yi·ḥar
So was aroused ､
אַפּ֔וֹ
’ap·pōw,
וַיַּ֖עַל
way·ya·‘al
and he went back up
בֵּ֥ית
bêṯ
. אָבִֽיהוּ׃
’ā·ḇî·hū.
of to his father .
