､ וַיֵּלְכוּ֙
way·yê·lə·ḵū
So departed ､
חֲמֵ֣שֶׁת
ḥă·mê·šeṯ
הָאֲנָשִׁ֔ים
hā·’ă·nā·šîm,
the men
וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ
way·yā·ḇō·’ū
and went
､ לָ֑יְשָׁה
lā·yə·šāh;
to Laish ､
וַיִּרְא֣וּ
way·yir·’ū
and they saw
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
הָעָ֣ם
hā·‘ām
the people
אֲשֶׁר־
’ă·šer-
､ בְּקִרְבָּ֣הּ
bə·qir·bāh
there ､
יוֹשֶֽׁבֶת־
yō·wō·še·ḇeṯ-
､ לָ֠בֶטַח
lā·ḇe·ṭaḥ
safely ､
כְּמִשְׁפַּ֨ט
kə·miš·paṭ
in the manner
､ צִדֹנִ֜ים
ṣi·ḏō·nîm
of the Sidonians ､
שֹׁקֵ֣ט ׀
šō·qêṭ
– וּבֹטֵ֗חַ
ū·ḇō·ṭê·aḥ,
and secure –
וְאֵין־
wə·’ên-
and [There were] no
מַכְלִ֨ים
maḵ·lîm
– דָּבָ֤ר
dā·ḇār
､ בָּאָ֙רֶץ֙
bā·’ā·reṣ
in the land ､
יוֹרֵ֣שׁ
yō·w·rêš
עֶ֔צֶר
‘e·ṣer,
וּרְחֹקִ֥ים
ū·rə·ḥō·qîm
and far
הֵ֙מָּה֙
hêm·māh
מִצִּ֣דֹנִ֔ים
miṣ·ṣi·ḏō·nîm,
וְדָבָ֥ר
wə·ḏā·ḇār
and ties
אֵין־
’ên-
[there were] no
לָהֶ֖ם
lā·hem
with
עִם־
‘im-
-
. אָדָֽם׃
’ā·ḏām.
