וְהַמַּשְׂאֵ֗ת
wə·ham·maś·’êṯ,
But when the cloud
הֵחֵ֛לָּה
hê·ḥêl·lāh
לַעֲל֥וֹת
la·‘ă·lō·wṯ
to rise
מִן־
min-
הָעִ֖יר
hā·‘îr
the city
עַמּ֣וּד
‘am·mūḏ
in a column
､ עָשָׁ֑ן
‘ā·šān;
of smoke ､
וַיִּ֤פֶן
way·yi·p̄en
and looked
בִּנְיָמִן֙
bin·yā·min
אַחֲרָ֔יו
’a·ḥă·rāw,
､ וְהִנֵּ֛ה
wə·hin·nêh
and there was ､
עָלָ֥ה
‘ā·lāh
going up [in smoke]
כְלִיל־
ḵə·lîl-
הָעִ֖יר
hā·‘îr
the city
. הַשָּׁמָֽיְמָה׃
haš·šā·mā·yə·māh.
to heaven .
