and locked them .

And when he

､ יָצָא֙

had gone out ､

וַעֲבָדָ֣יו

wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw

and Eglon's servants

– בָּ֔אוּ

bā·’ū,

came –

וַיִּרְא֕וּ

way·yir·’ū

and to look

､ וְהִנֵּ֛ה

wə·hin·nêh

and [to their] surprise ､

דַּלְת֥וֹת

dal·ṯō·wṯ

הָעֲלִיָּ֖ה

hā·‘ă·lî·yāh

of the upper room

､ נְעֻל֑וֹת

nə·‘u·lō·wṯ;

were locked ､

､ וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ

way·yō·mə·rū,

so they said ､

on the floor

they delayed ､

וְהוּא֙

and he

the stone images ､

וַיִּמָּלֵ֖ט

､ הָהָ֖ר

. לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר

And he said

אֲלֵהֶם֙

רִדְפ֣וּ

וְלֹ֥א

נִמְלַ֖ט
