､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

of Israel ､

וְאָמַרְתָּ֖

wə·’ā·mar·tā

and say

､ אֲלֵהֶ֑ם

’ă·lê·hem;

to them ､

אֲנִ֖י

’ă·nî

I [am]

יְהוָ֥ה

Yah·weh

. אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

כְּמַעֲשֵׂ֧ה

kə·ma·‘ă·śêh

According to the doings

אֶֽרֶץ־

’e·reṣ-

of the land

､ מִצְרַ֛יִם

miṣ·ra·yim

of Egypt ､

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

יְשַׁבְתֶּם־

yə·šaḇ·tem-

בָּ֖הּ

in

לֹ֣א

not

– תַעֲשׂ֑וּ

ṯa·‘ă·śū;

you shall do –

וּכְמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה

ū·ḵə·ma·‘ă·śêh

and according to the doings

אֶֽרֶץ־

’e·reṣ-

of the land

､ כְּנַ֡עַן

kə·na·‘an

of Canaan ､

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

אֲנִי֩

’ă·nî

מֵבִ֨יא

mê·ḇî

אֶתְכֶ֥ם

’eṯ·ḵem

שָׁ֙מָּה֙

לֹ֣א

. תַעֲשׂ֔וּ

וּבְחֻקֹּתֵיהֶ֖ם

ū·ḇə·ḥuq·qō·ṯê·hem

And in their ordinances

shall you walk .

､ מִשְׁפָּטַ֧י

miš·pā·ṭay

My judgments ､

תַּעֲשׂ֛וּ

You shall observe

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

חֻקֹּתַ֥י

ḥuq·qō·ṯay

תִּשְׁמְר֖וּ

tiš·mə·rū

לָלֶ֣כֶת

lā·le·ḵeṯ

. בָּהֶ֑ם

bā·hem;

in them .

אֲנִ֖י

’ă·nî

I

יְהוָ֥ה

Yah·weh

. אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.

וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֤ם

ū·šə·mar·tem

Therefore You shall keep

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ חֻקֹּתַי֙

ḥuq·qō·ṯay

My statutes ､

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

､ מִשְׁפָּטַ֔י

miš·pā·ṭay,

My judgments ､

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

’ă·šer

יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה

ya·‘ă·śeh

. אֹתָ֛ם

’ō·ṯām

- .

הָאָדָ֖ם

hā·’ā·ḏām

וָחַ֣י

wā·ḥay

and he shall live

. בָּהֶ֑ם

bā·hem;

by them .

אֲנִ֖י

’ă·nî

I

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

[am] Yahweh .

you shall uncover –

[is] your mother

you shall uncover

their nakedness

your own nakedness

אָחִ֖יךָ

[is] your brother

. הִֽוא׃

אִשָּׁ֛ה

’iš·šāh

of a woman

､ וּבִתָּ֖הּ

ū·ḇit·tāh

and her daughter ､

לֹ֣א

תְגַלֵּ֑ה

ṯə·ḡal·lêh;

You shall uncover

– אֶֽת־

’eṯ-

nor –

בַּת־

baṯ-

בְּנָ֞הּ

bə·nāh

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

or

בַּת־

baṯ-

her daughter’s

בִּתָּ֗הּ

bit·tāh,

לֹ֤א

lō

､ תִקַּח֙

ṯiq·qaḥ

shall you take ､

לְגַלּ֣וֹת

lə·ḡal·lō·wṯ

– עֶרְוָתָ֔הּ

‘er·wā·ṯāh,

her nakedness –

שַׁאֲרָ֥ה

ša·’ă·rāh

[are] near of kin to her

– הֵ֖נָּה

hên·nāh

they –

זִמָּ֥ה

zim·māh

[is] wickedness

. הִֽוא‪‬

hî

it .

וְאִשָּׁ֥ה

wə·’iš·šāh

And a woman

אֶל־

’el-

to

､ אֲחֹתָ֖הּ

’ă·ḥō·ṯāh

לֹ֣א

lō

תִקָּ֑ח

ṯiq·qāḥ;

לִצְרֹ֗ר

liṣ·rōr,

as a rival

לְגַלּ֧וֹת

lə·ḡal·lō·wṯ

､ עֶרְוָתָ֛הּ

‘er·wā·ṯāh

her nakedness ､

עָלֶ֖יהָ

‘ā·le·hā

-

. בְּחַיֶּֽיהָ׃

bə·ḥay·ye·hā.

while the other is alive .

וְאֶל־

wə·’el-

And

אִשָּׁ֖ה

’iš·šāh

בְּנִדַּ֣ת

bə·nid·daṯ

as long as she is

､ טֻמְאָתָ֑הּ

ṭum·’ā·ṯāh;

in her [customary] impurity ､

לֹ֣א

lō

not

תִקְרַ֔ב

ṯiq·raḇ,

you shall approach

לְגַלּ֖וֹת

lə·ḡal·lō·wṯ

. עֶרְוָתָֽהּ׃

‘er·wā·ṯāh.

her nakedness .

וְאֶל־

wə·’el-

אֵ֙שֶׁת֙

’ê·šeṯ

עֲמִֽיתְךָ֔

‘ă·mî·ṯə·ḵā,

of your neighbor

לֹא־

lō-

not

､ תִתֵּ֥ן

ṯit·tên

lie ､

שְׁכָבְתְּךָ֖

šə·ḵā·ḇə·tə·ḵā

לְזָ֑רַע

lə·zā·ra‘;

לְטָמְאָה־

lə·ṭā·mə·’āh-

to defile yourself

. בָֽהּ׃

ḇāh.

with her .

וּמִֽזַּרְעֲךָ֥

ū·miz·zar·‘ă·ḵā

And any of your descendants

לֹא־

lō-

not

תִתֵּ֖ן

ṯit·tên

לְהַעֲבִ֣יר

lə·ha·‘ă·ḇîr

pass through [the fire]

､ לַמֹּ֑לֶךְ

lam·mō·leḵ;

to Molech ､

וְלֹ֧א

wə·lō

תְחַלֵּ֛ל

ṯə·ḥal·lêl

shall you profane

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

שֵׁ֥ם

the name

– אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ

’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā

of your God –

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I

. יְהוָֽה׃

Yah·weh.

[am] Yahweh .

וְאֶ֨ת־

wə·’eṯ-

And with

､ זָכָ֔ר

zā·ḵār,

a male ､

לֹ֥א

lō

not

､ תִשְׁכַּ֖ב

ṯiš·kaḇ

You shall lie ､

מִשְׁכְּבֵ֣י

miš·kə·ḇê

as with

– אִשָּׁ֑ה

’iš·šāh;

a woman –

תּוֹעֵבָ֖ה

tō·w·‘ê·ḇāh

[is] an abomination

. הִֽוא׃

hî

it .

וּבְכָל־

ū·ḇə·ḵāl

And with any

בְּהֵמָ֛ה

bə·hê·māh

לֹא־

lō-

תִתֵּ֥ן

ṯit·tên

שְׁכָבְתְּךָ֖

šə·ḵā·ḇə·tə·ḵā

לְטָמְאָה־

lə·ṭā·mə·’āh-

to defile yourself

– בָ֑הּ

ḇāh;

with it –

וְאִשָּׁ֗ה

wə·’iš·šāh,

לֹֽא־

lō-

תַעֲמֹ֞ד

ṯa·‘ă·mōḏ

לִפְנֵ֧י

lip̄·nê

בְהֵמָ֛ה

ḇə·hê·māh

לְרִבְעָ֖הּ

lə·riḇ·‘āh

to mate with it

תֶּ֥בֶל

te·ḇel

[is] perversion

. הֽוּא׃

Not

תִּֽטַּמְּא֖וּ

tiṭ·ṭam·mə·’ū

do defile yourselves

בְּכָל־

bə·ḵāl

with any

､ אֵ֑לֶּה

’êl·leh;

of these things ､

כִּ֤י

kî

בְכָל־

ḇə·ḵāl-

by all

אֵ֙לֶּה֙

’êl·leh

נִטְמְא֣וּ

niṭ·mə·’ū

הַגּוֹיִ֔ם

hag·gō·w·yim,

אֲשֶׁר־

’ă·šer-

אֲנִ֥י

’ă·nî

I

מְשַׁלֵּ֖חַ

mə·šal·lê·aḥ

. מִפְּנֵיכֶֽם׃

mip·pə·nê·ḵem.

וַתִּטְמָ֣א

wat·tiṭ·mā

– הָאָ֔רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ,

the land –

וָאֶפְקֹ֥ד

wā·’ep̄·qōḏ

therefore I visit the punishment

עֲוֺנָ֖הּ

‘ă·wō·nāh

of its iniquity

עָלֶ֑יהָ

‘ā·le·hā;

וַתָּקִ֥א

wat·tā·qi

הָאָ֖רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ

the land

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

. יֹשְׁבֶֽיהָ׃

yō·šə·ḇe·hā.

its inhabitants .

וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֣ם

ū·šə·mar·tem

Therefore shall keep

אַתֶּ֗ם

’at·tem,

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

חֻקֹּתַי֙

ḥuq·qō·ṯay

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

､ מִשְׁפָּטַ֔י

miš·pā·ṭay,

My judgments ､

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

and not

תַעֲשׂ֔וּ

ṯa·‘ă·śū,

מִכֹּ֥ל

mik·kōl

הַתּוֹעֵבֹ֖ת

hat·tō·w·‘ê·ḇōṯ

of abominations

– הָאֵ֑לֶּה

hā·’êl·leh;

הָֽאֶזְרָ֔ח

hā·’ez·rāḥ,

[either] any of your own nation

וְהַגֵּ֖ר

wə·hag·gêr

or any stranger

הַגָּ֥ר

hag·gār

. בְּתוֹכְכֶֽם׃

bə·ṯō·wḵ·ḵem.

כִּ֚י

kî

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

כָּל־

kāl-

הַתּוֹעֵבֹ֣ת

hat·tō·w·‘ê·ḇōṯ

הָאֵ֔ל

hā·’êl,

עָשׂ֥וּ

‘ā·śū

אַנְשֵֽׁי־

’an·šê-

the men

הָאָ֖רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ

of the land

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

– לִפְנֵיכֶ֑ם

lip̄·nê·ḵem;

וַתִּטְמָ֖א

wat·tiṭ·mā

thus is defiled

､ הָאָֽרֶץ׃

hā·’ā·reṣ.

the land ､

וְלֹֽא־

wə·lō-

and lest

תָקִ֤יא

ṯā·qî

vomit you out also

הָאָ֙רֶץ֙

hā·’ā·reṣ

the land

אֶתְכֶ֔ם

’eṯ·ḵem,

-

בְּטַֽמַּאֲכֶ֖ם

bə·ṭam·ma·’ă·ḵem

when you defile it

､ אֹתָ֑הּ

’ō·ṯāh;

- ､

כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר

ka·’ă·šer

as

קָאָ֛ה

qā·’āh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

הַגּ֖וֹי

hag·gō·w

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

’ă·šer

. לִפְנֵיכֶֽם׃

lip̄·nê·ḵem.

כִּ֚י

kî

כָּל־

kāl-

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

יַעֲשֶׂ֔ה

ya·‘ă·śeh,

מִכֹּ֥ל

mik·kōl

of any

הַתּוֹעֵב֖וֹת

hat·tō·w·‘ê·ḇō·wṯ

､ הָאֵ֑לֶּה

hā·’êl·leh;

וְנִכְרְת֛וּ

wə·niḵ·rə·ṯū

and shall be cut off

הַנְּפָשׁ֥וֹת

han·nə·p̄ā·šō·wṯ

הָעֹשֹׂ֖ת

hā·‘ō·śōṯ

who commit [them]

מִקֶּ֥רֶב

miq·qe·reḇ

. עַמָּֽם׃

‘am·mām.

וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֣ם

ū·šə·mar·tem

Therefore you shall keep

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ מִשְׁמַרְתִּ֗י

miš·mar·tî,

My ordinance ､

לְבִלְתִּ֨י

lə·ḇil·tî

not

עֲשׂ֜וֹת

‘ă·śō·wṯ

so that [you] do commit

מֵחֻקּ֤וֹת

mê·ḥuq·qō·wṯ

הַתּֽוֹעֵבֹת֙

hat·tō·w·‘ê·ḇōṯ

of these abominable customs

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

’ă·šer

נַעֲשׂ֣וּ

na·‘ă·śū

､ לִפְנֵיכֶ֔ם

lip̄·nê·ḵem,

וְלֹ֥א

wə·lō

that not

תִֽטַּמְּא֖וּ

ṯiṭ·ṭam·mə·’ū

you do defile yourselves

– בָּהֶ֑ם

bā·hem;

by them –

אֲנִ֖י

’ă·nî

I

יְהוָ֥ה

Yah·weh

. אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem.
