וַיַּ֣רְא

And when saw
בִּלְעָ֗ם
bil·‘ām,
כִּ֣י
kî
ט֞וֹב
ṭō·wḇ
בְּעֵינֵ֤י
bə·‘ê·nê
the eye of
יְהוָה֙
Yah·weh
לְבָרֵ֣ךְ
lə·ḇā·rêḵ
אֶת־
’eṯ-
-
､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל
yiś·rā·’êl,
Israel ､
､ וְלֹא־
wə·lō-
and not ､
הָלַ֥ךְ
hā·laḵ
he did go
כְּפַֽעַם־
kə·p̄a·‘am-
as at other
､ בְּפַ֖עַם
bə·p̄a·‘am
times ､
לִקְרַ֣את
liq·raṯ
to seek
､ נְחָשִׁ֑ים
nə·ḥā·šîm;
to use sorcery ､
וַיָּ֥שֶׁת
way·yā·šeṯ
but he set
אֶל־
’el-
הַמִּדְבָּ֖ר
ham·miḏ·bār
. פָּנָֽיו׃
pā·nāw.
