וַיִּשְׁמַ֗ע
way·yiš·ma‘,
And heard
､ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙
hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî
the Canaanite ､
מֶ֣לֶךְ
me·leḵ
the king
עֲרָ֔ד
‘ă·rāḏ,
of Arad
וְהֽוּא־
wə·hū-
and he
יֹשֵׁ֥ב
yō·šêḇ
בַּנֶּ֖גֶב
ban·ne·ḡeḇ
in the Negev
בְּאֶ֣רֶץ
bə·’e·reṣ
in the land
､ כְּנָ֑עַן
kə·nā·‘an;
of Canaan ､
בְּבֹ֖א
bə·ḇō
of the coming
בְּנֵ֥י
bə·nê
of the sons
. יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
yiś·rā·’êl.
of Israel .
