The Lord is My Strength

אֵ֘לֶ֤יךָ

’ê·le·ḵā

To You

יְהוָ֨ה ׀

Yah·weh

､ אֶקְרָ֗א

’eq·rā,

I will cry ､

– צוּרִי֮

ṣū·rî

my Rock –

אַֽל־

’al-

not

תֶּחֱרַ֪שׁ

te·ḥĕ·raš

do be silent

מִ֫מֶּ֥נִּי

mim·men·nî

to me

､ פֶּן־

pen-

lest if ､

תֶּֽחֱשֶׁ֥ה

te·ḥĕ·šeh

You [are] silent

מִמֶּ֑נִּי

mim·men·nî;

to me

וְ֝נִמְשַׁ֗לְתִּי

wə·nim·šal·tî,

and I become

עִם־

‘im-

י֥וֹרְדֵי

yō·wr·ḏê

those who go down

. בֽוֹר׃

ḇō·wr.

to the pit .

שְׁמַ֤ע

šə·ma‘

ק֣וֹל

qō·wl

､ תַּ֭חֲנוּנַי

ta·ḥă·nū·nay

of my supplications ､

בְּשַׁוְּעִ֣י

bə·šaw·wə·‘î

אֵלֶ֑יךָ

’ê·le·ḵā;

to You

בְּנָשְׂאִ֥י

bə·nā·śə·’î

יָ֝דַ֗י

yā·ḏay,

אֶל־

’el-

דְּבִ֥יר

də·ḇîr

. קָדְשֶֽׁךָ׃

qāḏ·še·ḵā

אַל־

’al-

Not

תִּמְשְׁכֵ֣נִי

tim·šə·ḵê·nî

do take me away

עִם־

‘im-

with

､ רְשָׁעִים֮

rə·šā·‘îm

the wicked ､

וְעִם־

wə·‘im-

and with

פֹּ֪עֲלֵ֫י

pō·‘ă·lê

､ אָ֥וֶן

’ā·wen

of iniquity ､

דֹּבְרֵ֣י

dō·ḇə·rê

שָׁ֭לוֹם

lō·wm

עִם־

‘im-

to

､ רֵֽעֵיהֶ֑ם

rê·‘ê·hem;

their neighbors ､

וְ֝רָעָ֗ה

wə·rā·‘āh,

but evil [is]

. בִּלְבָבָֽם׃

bil·ḇā·ḇām.

in their hearts .

תֶּן־

ten-

לָהֶ֣ם

lā·hem

､ כְּפָעֳלָם֮

kə·p̄ā·‘o·lām

according to their deeds ､

וּכְרֹ֪עַ

ū·ḵə·rō·a‘

and according to the wickedness

– מַֽעַלְלֵ֫יהֶ֥ם

ma·‘al·lê·hem

of their endeavors –

כְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה

kə·ma·‘ă·śêh

according to the work

– יְ֭דֵיהֶם

yə·ḏê·hem

of their hands –

תֵּ֣ן

tên

לָהֶ֑ם

lā·hem;

הָשֵׁ֖ב

hā·šêḇ

גְּמוּלָ֣ם

gə·mū·lām

what they deserve

. לָהֶֽם׃

lā·hem.

to them .

כִּ֤י

kî

לֹ֤א

lō

not

יָבִ֡ינוּ

yā·ḇî·nū

אֶל־

’el-

פְּעֻלֹּ֣ת

pə·‘ul·lōṯ

､ יְ֭הוָה

Yah·weh

of Yahweh ､

וְאֶל־

wə·’el-

מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה

ma·‘ă·śêh

､ יָדָ֑יו

yā·ḏāw;

of His hands ､

יֶ֝הֶרְסֵ֗ם

ye·her·sêm,

He shall destroy them

וְלֹ֣א

wə·lō

and not

. יִבְנֵֽם׃

yiḇ·nêm.

build them up .

בָּר֥וּךְ

bā·rūḵ

､ יְהוָ֑ה

Yah·weh;

כִּי־

kî·šā-

שָׁ֝מַע

ma‘

ק֣וֹל

qō·wl

. תַּחֲנוּנָֽי׃

ta·ḥă·nū·nāy.

of my supplications .

יְהוָ֤ה ׀

Yah·weh

עֻזִּ֥י

‘uz·zî

– וּמָגִנִּי֮

ū·mā·ḡin·nî

and my shield –

בּ֤וֹ

bōw

in Him

בָטַ֥ח

ḇā·ṭaḥ

לִבִּ֗י

lib·bî,

– וְֽנֶ֫עֱזָ֥רְתִּי

wə·ne·‘ĕ·zā·rə·tî

and I am helped –

– וַיַּעֲלֹ֥ז

way·ya·‘ă·lōz

therefore greatly rejoices –

לִבִּ֑י

lib·bî;

וּֽמִשִּׁירִ֥י

ū·miš·šî·rî

and with my song

. אֲהוֹדֶֽנּוּ׃

’ă·hō·w·ḏen·nū.

I will praise Him .

יְהוָ֥ה

Yah·weh

､ עֹֽז־

‘ōz-

לָ֑מוֹ

lā·mōw;

וּמָ֘ע֤וֹז

ū·mā·‘ō·wz

and the refuge

יְשׁוּע֖וֹת

yə·šū·‘ō·wṯ

מְשִׁיח֣וֹ

mə·šî·ḥōw

. הֽוּא׃

hū.

He [is] .

הוֹשִׁ֤יעָה ׀

hō·wō·šî·‘āh

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

､ עַמֶּ֗ךָ

‘am·me·ḵā,

Your people ､

וּבָרֵ֥ךְ

ū·ḇā·rêḵ

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

– נַחֲלָתֶ֑ךָ

na·ḥă·lā·ṯe·ḵā;

Your inheritance –

וּֽרְעֵ֥ם

ū·rə·‘êm

and Shepherd them

וְ֝נַשְּׂאֵ֗ם

wə·naś·śə·’êm,

and bear them up

עַד־

‘aḏ-

. הָעוֹלָֽם׃

hā·‘ō·w·lām.
