Give the King Your Justice

. לִשְׁלֹמֹ֨ה ׀

liš·lō·mōh

A Psalm of Solomon .

､ אֱ‍ֽלֹהִ֗ים

’ĕlō·hîm,

God ､

､ מִ֭שְׁפָּטֶיךָ

miš·pā·ṭe·ḵā

Your judgments ､

לְמֶ֣לֶךְ

lə·me·leḵ

the king

תֵּ֑ן

tên;

וְצִדְקָתְךָ֥

wə·ṣiḏ·qā·ṯə·ḵā

and Your righteousness

לְבֶן־

lə·ḇen-

to the Son

. מֶֽלֶךְ׃

me·leḵ.

of king .

יָדִ֣ין

yā·ḏîn

He will judge

עַמְּךָ֣

‘am·mə·ḵā

､ בְצֶ֑דֶק

ḇə·ṣe·ḏeq;

with righteousness ､

וַעֲנִיֶּ֥יךָ

wa·‘ă·nî·ye·ḵā

. בְמִשְׁפָּֽט׃

ḇə·miš·pāṭ.

with justice .

יִשְׂא֤וּ

yiś·’ū

Will bring

הָרִ֓ים

hā·rîm

שָׁ֘ל֥וֹם

šā·lō·wm

､ לָעָ֑ם

lā·‘ām;

to the people ､

､ וּ֝גְבָע֗וֹת

ū·ḡə·ḇā·‘ō·wṯ,

and the little hills ､

. בִּצְדָקָֽה׃

biṣ·ḏā·qāh.

by righteousness .

יִשְׁפֹּ֤ט ׀

yiš·pōṭ

He will bring justice to

עֲ‍ֽנִיֵּי־

‘ănî·yê-

the poor

､ עָ֗ם

‘ām,

of the people ､

י֭וֹשִׁיעַ

yō·wō·šî·a‘

He will save

לִבְנֵ֣י

liḇ·nê

the sons

､ אֶבְי֑וֹן

’eḇ·yō·wn;

of the needy ､

וִֽידַכֵּ֣א

wî·ḏak·kê

and will break in pieces

. עוֹשֵֽׁק׃

‘ō·wō·šêq.

the oppressor .

יִֽירָא֥וּךָ

yî·rā·’ū·ḵā

They shall fear You

עִם־

‘im-

as long as

שָׁ֑מֶשׁ

šā·meš;

the sun

､ וְלִפְנֵ֥י

wə·lip̄·nê

and endure ､

יָ֝רֵ֗חַ

yā·rê·aḥ,

דּ֣וֹר

dō·wr

. דּוֹרִֽים׃

dō·w·rîm.

Throughout all generations .

יֵ֭רֵד

yê·rêḏ

He shall come down

כְּמָטָ֣ר

kə·mā·ṭār

עַל־

‘al-

– גֵּ֑ז

gêz;

the mown grass –

כִּ֝רְבִיבִ֗ים

kir·ḇî·ḇîm,

זַרְזִ֥יף

zar·zîp̄

. אָֽרֶץ׃

’ā·reṣ.

the earth .

– יִֽפְרַח־

yip̄·raḥ-

Shall flourish –

בְּיָמָ֥יו

bə·yā·māw

צַדִּ֑יק

ṣad·dîq;

וְרֹ֥ב

wə·rōḇ

שָׁ֝ל֗וֹם

lō·wm,

עַד־

‘aḏ-

בְּלִ֥י

bə·lî

is no more

. יָרֵֽחַ׃

yā·rê·aḥ.

the moon .

וְ֭יֵרְדְּ

wə·yê·rəd

And He shall have dominion

מִיָּ֣ם

mî·yām

עַד־

‘aḏ-

to

､ יָ֑ם

yām;

sea ､

וּ֝מִנָּהָ֗ר

ū·min·nā·hār,

and from the River

עַד־

‘aḏ-

to

אַפְסֵי־

’ap̄·sê-

the ends [of]

. אָֽרֶץ׃

’ā·reṣ.

the earth .

לְ֭פָנָיו

lə·p̄ā·nāw

יִכְרְע֣וּ

yiḵ·rə·‘ū

will bow

צִיִּ֑ים

ṣî·yîm;

Those who dwell in the wilderness

וְ֝אֹיְבָ֗יו

wə·’ō·yə·ḇāw,

and His enemies

עָפָ֥ר

‘ā·p̄ār

the dust

. יְלַחֵֽכוּ׃

yə·la·ḥê·ḵū.

will lick .

מַלְכֵ֬י

mal·ḵê

תַרְשִׁ֣ישׁ

ṯar·šîš

וְ֭אִיִּים

wə·’î·yîm

and of the isles

– מִנְחָ֣ה

min·ḥāh

יָשִׁ֑יבוּ

yā·šî·ḇū;

will bring

מַלְכֵ֥י

mal·ḵê

שְׁבָ֥א

šə·ḇā

וּ֝סְבָ֗א

ū·sə·ḇā,

and Seba

אֶשְׁכָּ֥ר

’eš·kār

. יַקְרִֽיבוּ׃

yaq·rî·ḇū.

will offer .

וְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּ־

wə·yiš·ta·ḥă·wū-

And Yes shall fall down

ל֥וֹ

lōw

כָל־

ḵāl

מְלָכִ֑ים

mə·lā·ḵîm;

כָּל־

kāl-

גּוֹיִ֥ם

gō·w·yim

. יַֽעַבְדֽוּהוּ׃

ya·‘aḇ·ḏū·hū.

shall serve Him .

כִּֽי־

kî-

יַ֭צִּיל

yaṣ·ṣîl

He will deliver

אֶבְי֣וֹן

’eḇ·yō·wn

– מְשַׁוֵּ֑עַ

mə·šaw·wê·a‘;

when he cries –

וְ֝עָנִ֗י

wə·‘ā·nî,

and the poor

וְֽאֵין־

wə·’ên-

and no

עֹזֵ֥ר

‘ō·zêr

[him]who has helper

. לֽוֹ׃

lōw.

to .

יָ֭חֹס

yā·ḥōs

He will spare

עַל־

‘al-

on

דַּ֣ל

dal

the poor

､ וְאֶבְי֑וֹן

wə·’eḇ·yō·wn;

and needy ､

וְנַפְשׁ֖וֹת

wə·nap̄·šō·wṯ

and the souls

אֶבְיוֹנִ֣ים

’eḇ·yō·w·nîm

of the needy

. יוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃

yō·wō·šî·a‘.

will save .

מִתּ֣וֹךְ

mit·tō·wḵ

From oppression

､ וּ֭מֵחָמָס

ū·mê·ḥā·mās

and violence ､

יִגְאַ֣ל

yiḡ·’al

He will redeem

נַפְשָׁ֑ם

nap̄·šām;

וְיֵיקַ֖ר

wə·yê·qar

and shall be precious

דָּמָ֣ם

dā·mām

. בְּעֵינָֽיו׃

bə·‘ê·nāw.

､ וִיחִ֗י

wî·ḥî,

And He shall live ､

וְיִתֶּן־

wə·yit·ten-

and will be given

לוֹ֮

lōw

to Him

מִזְּהַ֪ב

miz·zə·haḇ

the gold

– שְׁ֫בָ֥א

šə·ḇā

of Sheba –

וְיִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל

wə·yiṯ·pal·lêl

and Prayer will be made

בַּעֲד֣וֹ

ba·‘ă·ḏōw

– תָמִ֑יד

ṯā·mîḏ;

continually –

כָּל־

kāl-

הַ֝יּ֗וֹם

hay·yō·wm,

[And] daily

. יְבָרֲכֶֽנְהֽוּ׃

yə·ḇā·ră·ḵen·hū.

He shall be praised .

יְהִ֤י

yə·hî

There will be

פִסַּת־

p̄is·saṯ-

בַּ֨ר ׀

bar

בָּאָרֶץ֮

bā·’ā·reṣ

in the earth

בְּרֹ֪אשׁ

bə·rōš

On the top

– הָ֫רִ֥ים

hā·rîm

of the mountains –

יִרְעַ֣שׁ

yir·‘aš

– כַּלְּבָנ֣וֹן

kal·lə·ḇā·nō·wn

like Lebanon –

פִּרְי֑וֹ

pir·yōw;

וְיָצִ֥יצוּ

wə·yā·ṣî·ṣū

and [those] shall flourish

מֵ֝עִ֗יר

mê·‘îr,

of the city

כְּעֵ֣שֶׂב

kə·‘ê·śeḇ

. הָאָֽרֶץ׃

hā·’ā·reṣ.

of the earth .

יְהִ֤י

yə·hî

שְׁמ֨וֹ

šə·mōw

– לְֽעוֹלָ֗ם

lə·‘ō·w·lām,

לִפְנֵי־

lip̄·nê-

as long as

– שֶׁמֶשׁ֮

še·meš

the sun –

ינין

yā·nîn

-

[יִנּ֪וֹן]

yin·nō·wn

(שְׁ֫מ֥וֹ)

šə·mōw

וְיִתְבָּ֥רְכוּ

wə·yiṯ·bā·rə·ḵū

and [men] shall be blessed

ב֑וֹ

ḇōw;

in Him

כָּל־

kāl-

גּוֹיִ֥ם

gō·w·yim

. יְאַשְּׁרֽוּהוּ׃

yə·’aš·šə·rū·hū.

shall call Him blessed .

בָּר֤וּךְ ׀

bā·rūḵ

יְהוָ֣ה

Yah·weh

､ אֱ֭לֹהִים

’ĕ·lō·hîm

God ､

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

’ĕ·lō·hê

the God

､ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל

yiś·rā·’êl;

of Israel ､

עֹשֵׂ֖ה

‘ō·śêh

נִפְלָא֣וֹת

nip̄·lā·’ō·wṯ

wondrous things

. לְבַדּֽוֹ׃

lə·ḇad·dōw.

וּבָר֤וּךְ ׀

ū·ḇā·rūḵ

And blessed [be]

שֵׁ֥ם

šêm

כְּבוֹד֗וֹ

kə·ḇō·w·ḏōw,

– לְע֫וֹלָ֥ם

lə·‘ō·w·lām

וְיִמָּלֵ֣א

wə·yim·mā·lê

and let be filled

– כְ֭בוֹדוֹ

ḵə·ḇō·w·ḏōw

[with] His glory –

אֶת־

’eṯ-

-

כֹּ֥ל

kōl

הָאָ֗רֶץ

hā·’ā·reṣ,

､ אָ֘מֵ֥ן ׀

’ā·mên

Amen ､

. וְאָמֵֽן׃

wə·’ā·mên.

and Amen .

. כָּלּ֥וּ

kāl·lū

תְפִלּ֑וֹת

ṯə·p̄il·lō·wṯ;

דָּ֝וִ֗ד

dā·wiḏ,

בֶּן־

ben-

. יִשָֽׁי׃

yi·šāy.

of Jesse .
