'Consuming Fire' in the Bible

To the Israelis the appearance of the glory of the LORD was like a consuming fire on top of the mountain.

Indeed, the LORD your God is a consuming fire. He is a jealous God."

But know today that the LORD your God is going ahead of you as a consuming fire. He will destroy and subdue them before you. He will dispossess and destroy them quickly, just as the LORD told you.

In his anger smoke poured out of his nostrils, and consuming fire from his mouth; coals were lit from it.

For "our God is an all-consuming fire."
