'Face of God' in the Bible
And the earth shall be corrupted to the face of God; and the earth shall be filled with violence.
So Jacob named the place Peniel (the face of God), saying, “For I have seen God face to face, yet my life has not been snatched away.”
And the sun will rise to him when he passed through the face of God, and he limped upon his thigh.
