'Thorns and Thistles' in the Bible

It will produce thorns and thistles for you,and you will eat the plants of the field.

Israel’s Light will become a fire,and its Holy One, a flame.In one day it will burn up Assyria’s thorns and thistles.

The high places of Aven, the sin of Israel,will be destroyed;thorns and thistles will grow over their altars.They will say to the mountains, “Cover us!”and to the hills, “Fall on us!”

But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is worthless and about to be cursed, and will be burned at the end.
