Mark 10:46-52 - A Blind Man Healed At Jericho

⁴⁶ And they came to Jericho. As he was leaving the town with his disciples and a great crowd, Timaeus' son Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting at the roadside. ⁴⁷ When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth he began to cry out, "Jesus, you son of David, take pity on me!" ⁴⁸ Many of the people rebuked him and told him to be still. But he cried out all the louder, "You son of David, take pity on me!"

⁴⁹ Jesus stopped and said, "Call him here." And they called the blind man and said to him, "Courage now! Get up, he is calling you!" ⁵⁰ And he threw off his coat and sprang to his feet and went up to Jesus.

⁵¹ Jesus spoke to him and said, "What do you want me to do for you?" The blind man said to him, "Master, let me regain my sight!"

⁵² Jesus said to him, "Go your way. Your faith has cured you." And he immediately regained his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

³⁵ As he approached Jericho, a blind man happened to be sitting by the roadside begging. ³⁶ And hearing a crowd going by he asked what it meant. ³⁷ They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was coming by.

³⁸ And he shouted, "Jesus, you Son of David, take pity on me!" ³⁹ And those who were in front reproved him and told him to be quiet, but he cried out all the louder, "You Son of David, take pity on me!"

⁴⁰ And Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came up, Jesus asked him, ⁴¹ "What do you want me to do for you?" He answered, "Master, let me regain my sight!"

⁴² And Jesus said to him, "Regain your sight! Your faith has cured you!" ⁴³ And he regained his sight immediately, and followed Jesus, giving thanks to God. And all the people saw it and praised God.
