Matthew 8:23-27 - Calming Of A Storm
23 And when he had gone on board the boat, his disciples followed him. 24 And, lo! a great tempest arose on the lake, so that the boat was almost covered by the waves; but he was sleeping. 25 And they came and awoke him, saying, Lord, save! we are perishing.
26 And he saith to them, Why are ye fearful, ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the waves; and there was a great calm.
27 And the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the waves obey him?
35 And on the same day, when the evening was come, he saith to them, Let us pass over to the other side. 36 And leaving the multitude, they take him with them, as he was, in the boat; and there were also other boats with him. 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves heat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 And he was in the stern, asleep on the pillow; and they awake him, and say to him, Teacher, carest thou not that we are perishing?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, Peace! be still! And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said to them, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have not faith?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the waves obey him?
22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a boat with his disciples, and said to them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake; and they put off. 23 But as they were sailing, he fell asleep. And there came down a storm of wind on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we are perishing! And he rose, and rebuked the wind, and the surging of the water; and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 And he said to them, Where is your faith? And they were afraid, and wondered, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commandeth even the winds and the water, and they obey him?
