Romans 16:17-20 - Concluding Exhortations

¹⁷ I urge you, brethren, to take note of those who cause divisions and difficulties, contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; avoid them. ¹⁸ For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth and flattering words they deceive the hearts of the simple.

¹⁹ For your obedience has become known to all, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. ²⁰ And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

¹³ Be on the your guard, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. ¹⁴ Let all that you do be done in love.

¹⁵ You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. Now I urge you, brethren, ¹⁶ to be subject to such men and to everyone who helps in the work and labors. ¹⁷ I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied what was lacking on your part. ¹⁸ For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Give recognition to such men.
