Romans 16:17-20 - Concluding Exhortations

Romans 16:17-20

17 And I beseech you, brethren, mark those who cause dissensions and offences outside of the doctrine which ye have learned, and avoid them. 18 For they that are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly and by smooth words and blessings deceive the hearts of the simple.

19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all places. I am glad therefore on your behalf, but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good and innocent concerning evil. 20 And let the God of peace bruise Satan under your feet quickly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

1 Corinthians 16:13-18

13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. 14 Let all your things be done with charity.

15 I beseech you, brethren (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia and that they have dedicated themselves to the ministry of the saints), 16 that ye submit yourselves unto such and to each one that helps and labours. 17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, for they have filled your absence. 18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours; therefore, acknowledge ye those that are such.
