Romans 16:17-20 - Concluding Exhortations

¹⁷ Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you learned. Avoid them! ¹⁸ For these are the kind who do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By their smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of the naive.

¹⁹ Your obedience is known to all and thus I rejoice over you. But I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil. ²⁰ The God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

¹³ Stay alert, stand firm in the faith, show courage, be strong. ¹⁴ Everything you do should be done in love.

¹⁵ Now, brothers and sisters, you know about the household of Stephanus, that as the first converts of Achaia, they devoted themselves to ministry for the saints. I urge you ¹⁶ also to submit to people like this, and to everyone who cooperates in the work and labors hard. ¹⁷ I was glad about the arrival of Stephanus, Fortunatus, and Achaicus because they have supplied the fellowship with you that I lacked. ¹⁸ For they refreshed my spirit and yours. So then, recognize people like this.
