Matthew 22:41-46 - David's Son And Lord

Matthew 22:41-46

41 And the Pharisees having been gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42 Saying, What seems to you about Christ? Whose son is he They say to him, David's.

43 He says to them, How then does David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

44 The Lord said to my Lord, Sit by my right, till I make thine enemies the footstool of my feet

45 If, therefore, David calls him Lord, how is he his son 46 And none could answer him a word, nor dared any one from that day to ask him any more.

Mark 12:35-37

35 And Jesus having answered, said, teaching in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David 36 For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit from my right hand, till I set thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.

37 Therefore David himself calls him Lord; and whence is he his son? And a great crowd heard him willingly.

Luke 20:41-44

41 And he said to them, how say they Christ to be son of David? 42 And David himself says in the book of Psalms, the Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou from my right hand, 43 Even till I set thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.

44 David therefore calls him Lord, and how is be his son?
