Philippians 2:25-30 - Epaphroditus' Mission
25 Yet I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and companion in labor and fellow-soldier, but your apostle, who also ministered to my want, 26 because he longed after you all, and was much distressed, because you had heard that he was sick. 27 And, indeed, he was sick near to death; but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow. 28 I sent him, therefore, the sooner, that, by seeing him again, you might rejoice, and that I might be the less sorrowful. 29 Receive him, therefore, in the Lord with all joy, and regard such as worthy of honor; 30 because for the work of the Christ he was near to death, not regarding his life, that he might supply that which was lacking in your service to me.
