John 5:14-18 - Equal With God
14 Afterwards Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said to him, Behold, thou art healed; sin no more, least something worse befal thee. 15 And the man went away, and told the Jews, that it was Jesus who had healed him.
16 And for this did the Jews persecute Jesus, and endeavoured to put Him to death; because He had done these things on the sabbath-day. 17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh without intermission, and so do I. 18 For this therefore the Jews sought the more to kill Him, because He had not only broken the sabbath, but had also called God his own Father, making Himself equal with God.
