Pray that your flight be not in the winter, nor on the sabbath: for there shall be then great affliction, such as has not been from the beginning of the world unto this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days be shortened, no one would be saved; but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened.

But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days; for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people, and they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trampled down by the Gentiles, till the times of the Gentiles too shall be fulfilled.
And as we abode there several days, there came down from Judea a certain prophet named Agabus: and he came to us, and taking up Paul's girdle, and binding his own hands and feet, he said, Thus saith the holy Spirit, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man whose girdle this is, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
But Paul's sister's son, hearing of the ambush, came and entered into the castle, and told Paul. Then Paul called one of the centurions to him, and said, Introduce this young man to the tribune; for he hath something to tell him. So he took him and brought him to the tribune, and said, Paul the prisoner called me to him, and desired me to introduce this young man unto thee, as having something to say to thee.read more.
And the tribune took him by the hand, and retiring into a private apartment asked him, What is it which thou hast to tell me? And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee, that thou wouldest bring down Paul to-morrow to the council, as if they would inquire something more strictly concerning him. But do not thou comply with them: for there lie in wait for him more than forty men of them, who have bound themselves with a curse neither to eat nor drink till they have killed him: and they are now ready, waiting for an order from thee.
And be ye not idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, "The people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play." Neither let us commit whoredom, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted Him, and were destroyed by serpents: nor murmur,read more.

And therefore if thy right eye cause thee to offend, pluck it out and cast it from thee; for it is better for thee that one part of thee perish, than that thy whole body should be cast into hell: and if thy right hand cause thee to offend, cut it off and cast it from thee; for it is better for thee that one of thy limbs should perish, than that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Afterwards Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said to him, Behold, thou art healed; sin no more, least something worse befal thee.
And with many other words did he press and exhort them, saying, Save yourselves from this perverse generation.
but to those who are contentious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath. Tribulation and anguish shall be upon every soul of man that worketh evil, both of the Jew, and of the Gentile:
For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What! know ye not that the unjust shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor the effeminate, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor rapacious persons, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, taking vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction, by the presence of the Lord and by his glorious power:
but there be some that disturb you, and would subvert the gospel of Christ. But tho' we or an angel from heaven should preach to you any other gospel than what we have preached to you; let him be accursed.
Do ye therefore, beloved, as ye know these things before, take heed least being seduced together with them by the error of the wicked, ye should fall from your own stedfastness.
Whosoever then shall own me before men, I also will own him before my Father, who is in heaven: but whosoever shall disown me before men, him will I also disown before my Father who is in heaven.
But I say unto you, Whosoever shall own me before men, the Son of man will also own him before the angels of God. But he, that disowneth me before men, shall be disowned before the angels of God. And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it may be forgiven him; but unto him, that blasphemeth the holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven.
and therefore when Jesus said to them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the pharisees and of the sadducees,
In the mean time great multitudes of people being gathered together about Him, so that they trode upon one another, He began to say to his disciples, Beware of the leaven of the pharisees, which is hypocrisy: for there is nothing concealed,
Beware of those that are like dogs, beware of evil doers, beware of the concision.
Take heed least any one make a prey of you by philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ:
For there are many disorderly persons, vain-talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision; whose mouths must be stopped: who subvert whole families, teaching what they ought not, for shameful gain:
