Matthew 10:26-33 - Fear God Rather Than People
26 Fear them not therefore. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hid, that will not be known. 27 What I say to you in darkness, speak ye in the light; and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim ye upon the housetops. 28 And fear not those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall to the ground without your Father. 30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear not therefore; ye are of more value than many sparrows.
32 Every one therefore who shall acknowledge me before men, him will I also acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
4 And I say to you my friends, Fear not those who kill the body, and after this can do nothing more. 5 But I will warn you whom to fear; fear him who after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say to you, fear him. 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? and not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
