John 7:6-24 - Jesus At The Feast Of Tabernacles

6 The world cannot hate you, but me it hateth; 7 because I testify of it, that its works are evil. 8 Go ye up to the feast; I go not up to this feast yet; because my time is not yet fully come. 9 Having said these things to them, he abode in Galilee.

10 But when his brethren were gone up, then he also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were privately. 11 Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? 12 And there was much murmuring among the multitude concerning him: for some said, He is a good man; others said, Nay; but he seduceth the people. 13 However, no man spake openly of him, for fear of the Jews.

14 Now at the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught. 15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How doth this man know letters, having never learned?

16 Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 If any man be willing to do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. 18 He that speaketh of himself, seeketh his own glory; but he that seekth the glory of him that sent him, the same is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him. 19 Did not Moses give you the law?

20 Yet none of you keepeth the law. Why seek ye to kill me? The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil. Who seeketh to kill thee?

21 Jesus answered and said to them, I did one work, and ye all marvel at it. 22 Moses gave you circumcision, (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers) and ye circumcise a man on the sabbath. 23 If a man receive circumcision on the sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken: Are ye angry at me, because I intirely healed a man on the sabbath? 24 Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
