John 7:10-24 - Jesus At The Festival Of Tabernacles
10 But when his brothers had gone up, then he also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. 11 Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? 12 And there was much complaining concerning him among the multitude; some said, He is a good man; others said, No; but he deceives the people. 13 Nevertheless, no one spoke openly for him from fear of the Jews.
14 And in the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. 15 Then the Jews wondered, saying, How does this man know letters, not having learned?
16 Then Jesus answered them and said, My teaching is not mine but his that sent me. 17 If any one will do his will, he shall know of the teaching whether it is from God or whether I speak from myself. 18 He that speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but he that seeks the glory of him that sent him, this [man] is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. 19 Did not Moses give you the law? and no one of you performs the law. Why do you seek to kill me?
20 The multitude answered, You have a demon; who seeks to kill you?
21 Jesus answered and said to them, I performed one work and you all wonder. 22 Moses gave you circumcision, not that it is of Moses but of the fathers, and you circumcise a man on the sabbath. 23 If a man receives circumcision on the sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I made a man entirely sound on the sabbath? 24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge a righteous judgment.
