Matthew 12:16-21 - Jesus Is God's Servant

¹⁶ And he charged them not to make him known; ¹⁷ that the word might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

¹⁸ Be hold, my servant whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul delights. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall declare law to the Gentiles. ¹⁹ He shall not contend, nor cry out; nor shall any one hear his voice in the streets. ²⁰ A bruised reed he shall not break, and a smoking wick he shall not extinguish, till he shall send forth his law for conquest. ²¹ And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
