Matthew 16:21-23 - Jesus Predicts His Death And Resurrection
21 From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders, and chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and raised on the third day. 22 And Peter taking hold of him said, rebuking him, Far be it from you, Lord! This shall not be to you.
23 But he turned and said to Peter, Get behind me, Satan! You are an offense to me! For you regard not the things of God, but those of men.
31 And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and the scribes; and be killed, and after three days be raised again. 32 And he spoke this word plainly; and Peter taking hold of him, rebuked him.
33 But turning round, and looking on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, and said, Get behind me, Satan! for you regard not the things of God, but the things of men.
