Matthew 16:1-4 - The Signs Of The Times

¹ AND the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to Jesus to try him desired him to show them a sign from heaven.

² But he answered and said to them, When it is evening you say, It will be fair weather for the sky is red; ³ and in the morning, It will rain to-day for the sky is red and lowering. You know how to distinguish the face of the sky, but you cannot distinguish the signs of the times. ⁴ An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign; and no sign shall be given it except the sign of Jonah. And he left them and departed.

⁵⁴ And he also said to the multitudes, When you see a cloud rise in the west you immediately say, There comes a shower; and it is so. ⁵⁵ And when the south wind blows you say, There will be heat; and there is. ⁵⁶ Hypocrites! You know how to distinguish the appearance of the earth and sky, and how do you not distinguish this time?
