John 16:5-15 - Jesus' Departure And The Coming Of The Holy Spirit
5 but now I am going to him who sent me. And yet not one of you asks, 'Where are you going?' 6 No, your heart is full of sorrow at what I have told you. 7 Yet ??I am telling you the truth ??my going is for your good. If I do not depart, the Helper will not come to you; whereas if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will convict the world, convincing men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to the Father and you see me no more; 11 of judgment, because the Prince of this world has been judged.
12 I have still much to say to you, but you cannot bear it just now. 13 However, when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all the truth; for he will not speak of his own accord, he will say whatever he is told, and he will disclose to you what is to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will draw upon what is mine and disclose it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; that is why I say, 'he will draw upon what is mine and disclose it to you.'
