Matthew 12:46-50 - Jesus' Mother And Brothers

⁴⁶ He was still speaking to the crowds when his mother and brothers came and stood outside; they wanted to speak to him. ⁴⁷ ??-

⁴⁸ But he replied to the man who told him this, "Who is my mother? and who are my brothers?" ⁴⁹ Stretching out his hand towards his disciples he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! ⁵⁰ Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven, that is my brother and sister and mother."

³¹ Then came his brothers and his mother, and standing outside they sent to call him; ³² there was a crowd sitting round him, and he was told, "Here are your mother and brothers and sisters wanting you outside."

³³ He replied, "Who are my mother and my brothers?" ³⁴ And glancing at those who were sitting round him in a circle he said, "There are my mother and my brothers! ³⁵ Whoever does the will of God, that is my brother and sister and mother."

¹⁹ His mother and brothers reached him but they were unable to join him for the crowd. ²⁰ Word was brought to him that "your mother and brothers are standing outside; they wish to see you."

²¹ But he answered, "My mother and brothers are those who listen to the word of God and obey it."
