John 20:11-18 - Mary Magdalene Sees The Risen Lord

But Mary stood just outside the tomb, weeping. And as she wept she looked down into the tomb, 12 and saw two angels in white sitting where Jesus' body had been, one at his head and one at his feet. 13 And they said to her, "Why are you weeping?" She said to them, "They have taken my Master away, and I do not know where they have put him." 14 As she said this she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not know that it was he.

Jesus said to her, "Why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?" She, supposing that he was the gardener, said to him, "If it was you, sir, that carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will take him away."

"Mary!" said Jesus. She turned and said to him in Hebrew, "Rabbouni!" which means Master.

Jesus said to her, "You must not cling to me, for I have not yet gone up to my Father, but go to my brothers and say to them that I am going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God."

Mary of Magdala went and declared to the disciples, "I have seen the Master!" and she told them that he had said this to her.
